I can't believe it's been 3 years since we traveled to Chapel Hill from WV. Going there was by far the best choice we ever made!
When we married in June of 2004, I brought 2 girls into the marriage and he brought 3 girls.
We were pg with TR baby #1 one month later. Elijah arrived Sept 1, 2006. What a joy he is in our life.
We thought our family was complete. God had other plans. We went to the Bahamas in feb of this yr. Every night I was so sick. I never thought for a moment I was pg. Just thought it was being out on the ocean. Came home and two days later there was my BFP!! Needless to say I was shocked, scared and every other emotion you could think of. To be honest I wasn't overly excited. I was scared to death. With six kids already the thought of one more needing more of me scared me to DEATH!!!
After a little while it began to sink in and I came around. During my 25th week I had an ultrasound. I was measuring much bigger than I should. Dr said it was fluid. We also found out that our baby boy was going to be born with a cleft lip and cleft palate. Our world was shaken to say the least! It didn't change the fact that I loved my baby but I knew our lives would never be the same.
I became the instant high risk. I went into labor two short weeks later. They gave me magnesium and steriods for the baby. They stopped my labor. I continued to have contractions. After 11 days in the hospiatl I was released. I came home with contractions averaging about 5 -10 minutes apart. At about week 38 they slowed down. I finally convinced them to take him at 39 weeks. After an 8 hr labor and very difficult delivery Isaiah made his appearence into the world weighing a whopping 9 pounds and 1 ounce! What an angel we were blessed with. I am so in love with him.
I created a website for him. I would love for you to go there and check out the pictures of Isaiah and Elijah. I used to have a photo album here but it got deleted and it won't let me log back in to create another one.
I want to take a quick moment to say thank you to Dr. Berger and staff. You are truely a blessing to us. There isn't a day that don't go by that we don't look at our boys and know that God has given you a special talent. We will hold you close to our hearts forever!
