Marilyn HisWill Member # 12511 posted                    Marilyn, I just thought I'd check the boards super quick this am...Merry Christmas...what I wanted to say is that I had a BFP on the evening of 8DPO. The next day I had a blood draw and my number was 18.9. Within a few days my numbers were in the 1000's. I'm now 18 weeks pregnant with what appears to be a very healthy and very rambunctious baby boy. Unless you have some other reason to think it is ectopic or a m/c, it's really dumb on your doc's part to assume you have to have high numbers already. They have to start somewhere, thus having a day with a BFN and shortly after a BFP, make sense? I am praying the best for you and all the ladies here. Merry Christmas, and God Bless! Given that it's such a low number, is there a reason he suspects etopic? Are you in pain? I had a chemical pg and the first number was 12, the second 5 which is technically considered not pregnant. There is a possibility that you've caught a chemical pg, and that you will have a "late" but slightly heavier AF.
