Merill...it was unbeleivable that you had a rupture that early and I'm so thankful that you tell others your story. And its so nice to see how upbeat you are and the faith you have with your one tube left (I have one tube as well)...it will happen for us!
Danielle...I followed your story from long ago...when you had your 2nd m/c. I remember you being pg and I read about you everyday. I am shocked you are already 30 weeks along...I noticed that the other day. It seems like yesterday that I was reading about your m/c. Its nice to have such a caring doctor. My RE is brilliant...but he is set in his ways and what I'm concerned about, he is not...so I don't know if I'm over analyzing. When you go month to month and nothing happens, we tend to look at every possiblity.

Pray... my dr was concerned about the LP defect after the 2 m/c. I really didn't know or point it out to him until after the second. Mine also was 10 days. He figured the clomid would help lengthen it and keep my progesterone up....with the thought that my m/c were due to the lining not getting thick enough to sustain the pregnancies. Since Clomid worked the first time for me, it did seem to resolve the problems I personally was having. My Dr. is very easy to work with, and very on board in helping me achieve a successful pregnancy. Some Dr's don't seem to be quite to easy to work with.
Best of luck to you..I hope you get your little miracle soon.
She was concerned that I usually start spotting 9DPO that continues on until my AF starts. The first month that I did 50mg clomid, my progesterone was only 6 I think. This month, my CD 22 (8DPO) progesterone was 10. They thought that was great. When I went for my first HCG my progesterone was 23. My numbers were doubling in 36 hours, so if the little sucker could have made it 2cm down the tube, I think we would have been good to go. Tube ruptured the day after my second draw and HCG was only 890!!
Anyway, the doc put me on the clomid because she felt that even though I ovulate like clockwork every month, that my eggs were not mature enough. The clomid pushes my ovulation back 2-4 days. Was on day 14 both rounds of clomid. On the 50mg still had spotting starting on 9DPO.
I know that I am rambling, hope this helps. Progesterone cream and pills did not help me at all. Did not try the suppositories.
My cycle is still screwed up this month from the ectopic, not sure what we are going to do from here.

Merill, Do your doctors care or seem concerned for your LP defect? I have one too, but no one seems concerned. I feel my success is related to my long 4-5 day LH surges (an ovulation problem maybe?) and my short LP. It's 10 days and with clomid it goes to 12 days...but wonder if I would have trouble sustaining a pg?? I wish I could try progesterone supp...it wouldn't hurt anything, but I can't get even my RE to think its an issue. They just say I shouldn't be testing my LH after my first surge...but if I didn't, I would not know there was a problem!! So frustrating.

I took Clomid 50mg day 3-7 in March and my progesterone was still low. Took 100mg Clomid Day 3-7 in April and got BFP, ended up being ectopic and I lost my tube. When my cycles get back to normal - I may try it again. I also had LP defect. I just turned 41

I did clomid about 9 months after TR at 100mg on CD5-9 to help "boost" my follicle and got pregnant that first cycle. I did later m/c. Went on two more cycles of clomid on CD3-7, same dosage and nothing. I didn't take it after that. Karen

We did clomid after I was diagnosed with PCOS. We had been TTC for 8 months. Our 9th month TTC was our first month on clomid and we got pregnant. Unfortunately it ended in miscarriage. However, we went on to do a total of 6 cycles of clomid - we got pregnant with Lydia Grace on our 6th cycle.

marcie....I think the typical success rate of clomid is about 25% from what I have read - I was on it for 3 cycles but no BFP. But of the 25% that got their BFPs, most are within the first three months of using it. Many women don't respond to clomid and have to move on to other meds. Just make sure everything else is in working order before trying clomid and be monitored by your doc while taking it to see if it is even helping. You are still very early out from TR. Good luck!

I had my TR 7/24/07. I got preg 3 months after TR but m/c...took another 9 months for another BFP...another m/c (did have low progesterone for both the m/c). Three months after the last loss my Dr prescribed clomid (Oct 08)..(his thought was to help lengthen my LP and to help with progesterone as well). I took 50mg on CD 5-9. I got pregnant the first month and am currently 30 weeks pregnant with a little girl...due in July!
I took my first cycle of Clomid in April, 50mg. I had 3 eggs mature 2 right 1 left. My right tube is blocked. I got a bfp that month and I am currantly 7 weeks. Good Luck!
