I was thinking the same but I had told my husband that I was concerned that if I was pregnant I needed to know what my numbers are. If you don't have AF by Monday make an appt and get the bw, it's better to be sure with out a doubt one way or the other. I hope it is a bfp for you Let us know so we can celebrate

I should also add that my temp has been up for close to 2 weeks. I know that anticipation can make you have false pregnancy symptoms and that is what I have chalked mine up to.

I had my TR on 04/24/09. I know that it can throw your cycle off. I am currently on CD38. I am normally 28 days. I have taken 5 hpt and got 5 BFN. Should I go with this and assume that TR has got me out of whack or should I err on the side of caution and get BW? This is all so confusing and frustrating.

Just FYI, I had one home test left, and just out of curiosity I decided to use it. There was a light line. But, if I had not had the positive blood test, this would have been bad timing, since everything is closed Monday for Memorial Day!
Still, it was neat to see the BFP with my own eyes! I have only two symptoms- my breasts are very tender, and I can't seem to get enough sleep!
Just keep trying, that's what it takes! I'm sending lots of Baby Dust your way!!! You too Gwen!

Louise, Congratulations on your pregnancy that is great news! I got excited as I read your post because my hpt were also negative and I was on CD 34 and no AF but she just showed up it's ok tho we will try again. But once again congrats on your bfp and have a healthy happy 9 months
Gwen, I hope this is your month :hearts
When I called my Doc to make an appt. the nurse was like what for if your hpt was nagative, well I was upset and concerned because if I was pregnant I did not want to wait long to get my numbers checked hopefully next time it won't be so hard to get an appt. Love hugs and prayers, Evie

I've been pregnat SERVERAL times post TR and my HPT doesn't come up positive until my HCG is 300 to 400 ...at 657 I had a faint positive... My RE said that she's only seen this in 4 or 5 other women..... She can't explain it....so this month if AF is late at all...I will go in for BW...
Thursday I called my primary care doctor to ask for advice. I was at Cycle day 42, 22 days post ovulation, and had 3 home tests that were all negative. I temp every morning, and my temps had stayed up without dipping at all, and I had no signs of AF. They advised me to come in for the blood test.
It came back positive!!!! I asked why wouldn't the home tests show positive that many days after fertilization, and he said the urine tests have to detect a certain level of hcg, or they don't show a positive result.
So my advice would be if things don't seem to be adding up, go get a blood test! They are accurate, so you will know for sure.

Blood is typically 100% accurate whereas a urine test can be unreliable for a number of reasons. You could be testing too early, you could be testing before implantation occurs, the beta level isn't high enough to register or you get a faulty test. While urine tests are pretty accurate, there is room for error with them.
You can typically get a reliable blood test done 14 days after ovulation, although if you ovulate later it might still be a bit early.

Hello Ladies, I have a question, how much more accurate is the pregnancy test done by your blood versus the one done by your urine? How soon after a missed period is the blood test done? And if a hpt shows negative can a blood test say otherwise?
Thanks in advance for your input, wishing all loads of baby dust
