Tracy, Thank you so much for posting. I am thrilled to hear of your progress! I remember Dr Monteith's great Blog "Meet Momzilla". Your story offered hope then as does your post now. Thank you.

Tracy, I have been doing the same thing. I have told all of my friends and anyone who will listen. One day the medical field will recognize this and warn women about it before they get TLs. If I had been warned we NEVER would have done it. I am so thankful to God and to the Drs and Nurses that I do not have to suffer any longer. That I am whole again and getting better every day. I finally am able to enjoy life and motherhood rather than just surviving it. Praise God! Heather

I tell everyone I know never to have a TL as well..I wish more MDs understood and supported this syndrome..I will keep talking about it to anyone who will listen and hope that one day there will be better understanding and acceptance of this as a reality..and better informed consent about PTLS prior to TLs.

I had surgery 2 weeks ago and have already noticed a vast improvement in my PTLS. I have definately been a stranger in my own body and home, just trying to survive. I had 38 of 44 symptoms. I have already marked several off my symptom list. Praise God and thank you to the staff of CHTRC and Dr. Monteith. Heather

Well, today is the 1 year anniversary of my TR which I had solely to rid myself of PTLS. I must say a huge thank you to everyone at CH for the great care I received when I was there on my journey to taking my life back. The 3 years I suffered with PTLS felt more like 12 and the 1 year since my surgery has felt more like weeks. I cannot believe it has been a whole year..Any of you ladies out there who are suffering, please know that, while life never comes with guarantees, you CAN repair your body again through a reversal. Assuming there are no other reasons for those symptoms..you can rid yourself of this ugly syndrome and live to enjoy life again! For 3 years I felt like a tortured stranger inside my own body and I was living under the same roof with my husband and kids but always felt miles away..detached, exhausted, and lost...In just 2 months I was virtually symptom free, cured of my PTLS and living life again...have faith and patience and hope...your journey will take you back to the other side!
May all my PTLS friends out there heal quickly and may all the wonderful ladies here seeking those BFPs get them soon!
Thanks again to Drs. Berger, Monteith and the rest of the staff for making me......ME AGAIN!
