Jacob has adenovirus, probably got it from the daycare that he goes to part time. I am doing what seems like everything, he was deep suctioned yesterday and it was awful.

Aw Harmony is just getting big! Wow! She sounds like such a sweetheart.
How cute that Charlotte has been eating melon and cantaloupe! I LOVE when they start to taste all the good things...Henry got a couple lil' tastes of homeade vanilla ice cream a week or so ago, and threw an absolute fit when I said no more, LOL! Not LOL at the fit, but the love for the ice cream...if he was bigger that fit wouldn't fly!
My man will be four months on October 3rd. I can't believe it. I'll get some pictures and post his stats then. He's still bf'ing, and I have introduced cereal and he loves it.
Let's see..what else...oh, having another. I imagine we'll have another when my body begins ovulating again, since we aren't using anything and I haven't had a period. So, it's all up to God.
So glad to see you all, and hope the little ones who are stuffy start to feel better.

good to see everyone checking in. i think it is the season for allergies or something in the air with the stuffy nose and colds that won't go away.
Harmony went for her 6 months shots. She is 17lbs 1oz and 27". She is getting up on her feet and hands. I know she won't be long before long. Babbling and laughing outloud nonstop. She know how to reach for people now. i don't think i enjoyed any of my babies as much as this one.
As for trying for another, i think maybe when she gets a year or year and a half, i do it again. we'll see. They are sooo expensive and i would definitely have to quit work.

Hello everyone. Awww..poor little Jacob I hope he feels better soon. Charlotte has a bit of a stuffy nose again...I don't know why...my girls are all homeschooled this year so we have cut down on alot of germs...so crazy. I keep blaming my poor husband for bringing everything in the house! Andrea...I hear ya about fall...I love it! I already started baking pumpkin scones and pumpkin cakes and breads...I just couldn't wait anymore..lol I love fall chilly weather! It hasn't been to cold here yet in nj. It was chilly last week but now its muggy and warm again Tia....I was giving Charlotte watermelon and cantelope as well as bananas to chew at...but like Andrea said everything we give them is soooo messy She is big enough now that I give her those little vege puffs for baby...they actually aren't to messy and melt in their mouth...she loves them!
As far as ttc...I'm not sure....I get soooo sick and don't want to take away from Charlotte. Maybe when she gets a few years older I'll consider. I'm 32 so I guess I can't take to long to decide. Have a great day everyone! Michelle

Jacob is still a little congested, and I am doing all I can do for him. Poor little guy.
Have any of you thought about having another TR baby? I am thinking of TTC next Sept when he is 18 months old, trying to space them out a little more than the first two.
I am looking forward to cooler weather, I think my thyroid is out of whack again.
Unfortunately, I think ANYTHING they eat by themselves is going to be a WRECK, LOL! Those teething biscuits or Zwieback always look like poop when they have em' mashed all over their faces and hands!
Joy,
Sorry to hear Jacob is not feeling well. That's so sad. It's so sad when they are under the weather when they are small. It sounds like he's a lil' fatty! I love it!
April,
Glad to hear Madi is doing well! What a sweetheart!
We're dealing with that in-between weather that always gives me a headache. The mornings are very chilly-in the high 30's or low 40's, and the days are either nice and autumn-like, or get up to be warm. It's the back and forth stuff. I will be glad when it's all chilly all the time, and I can bust out the baking-pumpkin rolls and apple pies, and breads and soups and stews...oh yeah, that's my favorite time of year!

Just popping in to say Hi to everyone! I hope you have a good week! Hope Jacob gets to feeling better soon! Madi is doing great, today we worked on rolling over, she can almost do it by herself!!!
Tia, I've heard (from a nurse practitioner here) that if you watch them closely you can give them beef jerky like Pemican to teeth on . She says it is good for them too.
Jacob either had bad allergies or was just tempting to get a cold last week, he is at it again. He was fine for a few days, then back to congestion and cough. Poor little guy. He had his shots on top of that. He is tipping the scales at 19.5 pounds now. He is babbling too.

Hi Ladies! Wow Michelle, Charlotte is just about 7 months? Oh my...and the first little words are just too much..."uh oh", how cute! I will email you as soon as I am finished here.
Christbride, sorry Harmony has been sick. I hope she is on the mend soon. It's hard when they are so young..they just don't handle it well! Then again, neither does my husband and he's almost 38, LOL!
Joy, I understand your concerns with the swine flu. It's quite scary. I'm more scared of the vaccines, though. It's personal though, and I understand why anyone would make the personal choices they make. I don't vaccinate, nor do flu shots. I focus on wellness, and so far so good...out of the 5 kids (12 and younger) no one has had an illness I couldn't treat naturally in years. I'm thankful and hope it continues. Best wishes to you and sweet little Jacob!
April, Madi is just too little to have toofers! What a punkin'! New pictures ladies! I NEED pictures of these lil' fatties!
Tia, it's cool you are making your own baby food! Most things are pretty convenient to make. I have always just removed a portion of "our food" before I go crazy with spices or anything, and milled it with veggie water. I still used jarred foods with them sometimes. Whatever works! Anyone ever heard of BLW? The baby lead weaning where you move them, at about 6 months, straight to "whole foods", such a slice of peach and let em' go at it? Interesting stuff....
Henry just did a big milestone for me. I put him to bed (and I put him on his belly-bad, I know, but he's been strong to lift his head and chest for a long time) and I go to the bathroom and then to put more laundry in and I hear him like shouting, "OOOH OOOH" like he's calling me...and it was louder than usual, so I go in, and he's on his back, REAL mad he's out of his sleep position! Now he's gotta figure out how to go back!
Sorry for the book..just wanted to catch up! Here's a link to our photo site if anyone wants to see pics of him: theroltgenfamily dot shutterfly dot com
So good to hear about the babies getting big! Hope Charlie is doing well too, Mama12!

Hi ladies...I feel like I haven't been on here in so long. Glad to hear all our babies are doing great. April...so cute that madi has her first teeth!! They grwo wayyy to fast! christbride so sorry about Harmony's little fall...it happens. I hope she gets over her cold soon! Joy...I hope Jacob feels better soon..we were all fighting a cold last week...Olbas oil works great to clear little stuffy noses...just sprinkle it on a tissue and tape it up nearby where baby cannot reach it...its all natural and works great. Andrea glad your little man is growing his chubs!! You homeschool right? Can you email me rienz23at aol dot com. I just started 2 weeks ago for the first time with all of my girls. Thanks! Tia...wow...awsome to make your own baby food...I give mostly Earths Best...she loves it...but for simple stuff like bananas and apples I just prepare them myself. Well Charlotte is doing great. I cannot believe she is 7 months old already! She weighs 15 lbs 6 ounces. She is crawling and almost sitting up on her own. She started to say "uh oh". It is so cute...she is such a happy and quiet little baby. I will try to stop in more often! I miss hearing about all of our little babies! Michelle & Charlotte

Jacob has a cold now and we are going through the same stuff with the teething. He is miserable right now, so congested. Just symptomatic care with him being under 6 months. He goes for more shots next week. I am scheduling him to get that swine flu vaccine. Is anyone else paranoid about that like me? It scares me to death.
