Jenifer012377, If you would like to forward a copy of your operative note to us, one of our doctors will review it at no charge and we can contact you regarding possible outcomes for you following reversal surgery. If you already have a copy of the records, you can fax them to us at 919-967-8637. Please include all of your contact information (phone & e-mail) when faxing your information. If you would like more of an assurance regarding outcome, we do offer the option of a screening laparoscopy to all of our patients with a body mass index of less than 30. With screening laparoscopy, we perform the procedure just prior to the reversal. That way you do not have to undergo anesthesia and surgery twice. We look in with the laparoscope and, if good tubal lengths remain, go directly to tubal repair. Although there is an additional charge of $1000 to add the screening laparoscopy, with this option you will receive a significant portion of the total surgery fee in refund should we stop the procedure following the screening laparoscopy. Fortunately, Dr. Berger and Dr. Montieth are able to repair the tubes in 98% of situations. Martha

I'm not sure how close mine was to yours but I had double clips and burnt in the middle (why? I have no idea!). When Dr M looked at my report it was kind of ambiguous.. so it was a crap shoot on what he was going to find when he opened me up. Good news is he was able to repair both sides and my lengths turned out way better than I had expected. I'm sure if you send your operative report in to CHTRC they will be able to tell you with some certainty what can be accomplished. You'll definitely be in good hands that's for sure! Good Luck!

Has anyone had a successful tubal reversal when your tubes were burnt in 3 places? I had my tubal done last year, and now want another child. My tubes were burnt in 3 places and 1/3 of the middle of the tube has been destroyed and was wondering if anyone had a similar situation that was able to have a reversal and was successful in getting pregnant?
