Thanks ladies

Cindy i know what you mean 4 weeks takes forever.
i'm so excited for you i can't wait to hear the news. yeah i never put a second thought to what to eat what to drink etc. now i'm always thinking about oh am i supposed to eat that.
it is totally different this time.

Jamie i thought about getting my own doppler but changed my mind. i am hoping for a girl cause my dh is already calling the baby lucas and not luke so we are going to have to find a new boy name. i like caleb but i think the lady at church is naming her baby Caleb.
oh well i quess we will figure it out.

Shawna- Glad you had a good appointment. It drives me nuts my appointments being 4 weeks apart. Seems like they need to check on my baby more often than that. Really cracks me up how protective and nervous I am about my pregnancy. When I had the other 3 many moons ago I never even thought twice about anything. I just assumed they were fine. Wish I was still like that.

2 More days until we know if it is a boy or girl!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

Shawna - Congrats on your appointment! I should be getting my doppler in the mail tomorrow so I can listen to the heartbeat myself. I can't wait! Being an ER RN, I had to listen to fetal heart tones often, so I'm pretty good at finding them. I would say "156 sounds like a girl" because of the whole old wives tale thing, but my boys both had fast heart rates, so I don't put any faith in that, lol.

snowgirl - The fatigue is getting to me too. I'm sure yours is much worse than mine though! You're growing 2! This is my first full day off and I haven't done a thing, lol. Just wait till you start getting bigger and people find out you have twins - you'll have belly rubbers coming out of nowhere!

you have me cracking up i would have never thought about the guy butt and chest thing that is hilarious. now everytime i see a guy with a nice butt or chest i will now be thinking about just reaching out and rubbing(of course i won't but it will now cross my mind. thanks lol)

well i had my doc appt today all is going well baby's heartbeat is slowing down as it should and is at 156 beats now. i have gained 11 lbs and the doc says that is ok (seems like alot to me.)he says a pound a week is normal. i have full clearance to start Karate classes again just no sparring so i'm excited about that.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Kim- at my first u/s they only saw one.. one sac, etc! but that was at 5 weeks, so it was realy early.

the first trimester sleepies are kicking my butt. Seems like the past 4 or 5 days they have just gotten brutal!! I had a dr's appt yesterday and i told the nurse I was sure I was anemic as I am so very tired. So she said "well, we will check your iron, but I am guessing it is fine" So she check and she comes back and says "Your iron is 13.2!" (in my mind i think "oh I knew it was low! now I can get a vitamin to perk me up a little!") that was in the moments before she said "13.2 is really high and you are just so sleepy b/c there are two in there!" lol can't wait for the second trimester so maybe I won't feel so drained all of the time! lol

Shawna- you are lucky to never have been invaded by the random tummy rubber! lol When I was pregnant with our first we went to Chicago when I was about 7 months pregnant as a last little get awat before baby. Well we stopped at some restaraunt on the pier.. I don't rememeber the name.. but the bathroom was just one single bathroom, so there was a line I was standing in. The lady infront of me who was a TOTAL stranger, turned around, saw my big belly and started rubbing it!! I seriously was stunned! I just stood there in shock! Of corse I thought of some sassy things to say after the moment was over. lol But yeah, not sure why she thought I was public property! I mean I have seen a lot of guys with nice butts over the years or nice chests, but I don't just walk up and rub them! lol

Keep us updated on the u/s. It's all exciting!

kimberlyg- When are you having your u/s? Mine is Saturday. DH and I are so excited. My belly just seemed to pop out all of the sudden also. I am 15 weeks and guessing you are about the same. Our due dates are very close. My high risk risk doctor gave me a due date of 12/27 but my regular doctor kept it at 1/2/10. Either way my little one will arrive when he or she says so.

Hi Jaime...thanks for the welcome. I'm very excited. Today when I woke up...my belly had 'popped out!' It's so exciting and crazy how it seems to happen overnight. But anyway...I was very excited and my little girl just hugged on the 'baby'! It was very cute and sweet. My m/s is going away...haven't actually thrown for nearly 2 weeks. I am sooo happy and my appetite is finally coming back. I have been able to keep down the prenatals again.....I tell you throwing those up is disgusting! Oh well.

Snow congratulations on your twins...that is so exciting. i was hoping I had twins but there's only one in there...which will be enough. I can't wait to get another ultra sound to find out the sex so I can start buying stuff!!!!

OK ladies, congratulations to you all!!!!

Kim - I didn't get the m/s until about 6wks. Before then, I just had the swollen, sore BB and some fatigue. Some women never get sick...(jealous!) Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones!

Shawna - I am happy for you that your baby bump is showing already! I'm ready to look pregnant, lol. I do have more of a bump coming on that doesn't go away after I "do my bizness", lol. I read that at this point (almost 9 wks) your uterus is the size of a small cantalope! I can already feel mine above my pubic bone a little! Wonder if that has to do with having 2 already? Hmmm...

snowgirloo7, when the sacs get alittle larger they can usually tell if they are identical or fraternal by the way the sacs develop. But even two of the same sex doesn't mean a higher chance of being identical. Either way, congratulations and good luck with a healthy pregnancy!

How far along were you when you finally felt preggo? I am 5 weeks today going by O date and I don't feel much of anything other than bbs are huge and very sore. I don't know what I am expecting to feel. I guess I just need to know that everything is ok. My u/s is next Tues. but I am starting to worry that what if its a tubal. I don't have any pains that would make me think that but I can't stop worrying.

Snow and Jen i must say that i have never had someone just reach out and rub the belly. however i did rub two of my friends belly's kind of making a joke about the luck of (budda)the belly rub and sure enough i got pregnant. hehe no i don't think that it was because i rubbed the belly.
the only people that invade me are my dh and children. everyone else just talks about how amazed they are that i am so big already and i don't feel that it is bloating. bloating is what i was when i was on my period. i do not look bloated i look pregnant. (Seriously as big as i am already i still wonder if there is one hiding hehe)i feel very blessed to have this baby bump and for all the losses i have been through i feel that referring to it as bloating is taking away from what is really going on with the miracle inside me.
jamie i am not saying that you should feel any different than you do i am just stating my thoughts and my feelings.
Hope you all have a blessed day

CONGRATS snow!!!! WOW!!! How exciting! When I read your other post all I could say was No Way, so I can't even imagine what its would be like in your shoes, so I think I will live vicariously through you. LOL!!

As for the belly rubbing. Get used to it. When I was preggo with TR baby #1 people would rub my belly all the time. DROVE ME NUTS!! I guess for me it was such a shock because I have never touched another woman's preggo belly, and would never even ask to, and then to have a bunch of people just reach out and rub... it really caught me off guard. Didn't learn to like it, but learned to live with it. At least it won't be a huge suprise this time around.

Have a great evening all!

I am not sure about the sac.. the u/s tech said something about they each had their own membrane.. I am assuming that is what she was referring to.. it is all such a blur now! lol
