Just had my ultra sound on Wednesday and they are concern that they couldn't see a heartbeat so I will be going back on Wednesday the 8th. By my calculation I was only 5 weeks and 2 days but they were thinking 5 weeks 5 days. Wouldn't it still be too early to see a heartbeat? Please any help would be appreciated I am so worried!

Jen - I'm glad you got some rest! I know how you felt about the first US. I really wanted to see some sign of life, even though I knew it was early. I was 4wks 5days when I had my first US and all we saw was a gestational sac - not even a yolk sac. 2 short weeks later, we had a baby and a heartbeat. I'm sure you will get to see the same thing.
Just to update... I ended up having to call my OB and ask for the Zofran. It is a miracle drug, lol! I have not vomited in over 24hrs! Yay! I did get some ginger ale and some ginger tea, which both helped too. Question... does anyone know when the bloating goes away? I'm not having any trouble with constipation, but my belly is bloated. Just curious if I'm gonna look 4 months preggo until I am actually 4 months preggo...

I updatd my info and reposted our stats. Hope thats okay. OMG, I finally got some sleep last night and I feel soooooo much better. My eyes are all puffy from being so terribly emotional about everything yesterday, but other than that I just feel like a new me. This pg is really hitting my cry button hard. DH hopes that it won't last the whole nine months. LOL! He isn"t sure what will get me worked up. Poor guy!

Well, back from the u/s and I have mixed feelings on the whole thing. On one hand I am very happy that we saw a gestational sac and yolk sac. She didn't measure it or anything. On the other hand I am a little disappointed and worried that she couldn't say for 100% sure that she saw a fetal pole or heartbeat. She said she saw something, but can't say for sure that's what it is. She said it was too small to measure so she couldn't date me, but according to my lmp I would be due 2/24/2010. I know she is being overly cautious, but today I really wanted her to say yes, there it is. Gotta wait two more weeks for that. I am in such a yuck mood today anyway. Very hormonal and have not been sleeping good at all the past two nights due to stress from work.
Jamie, so sorry you are so sick. I don't get really bad ms but I do get quite nauseated often adn the only thing that helps is ice cold water with lots of lemon in it. I drink it constantly in from about 4 pm on because I would be miserable without it.
Snow, My pg symptoms this time and last time tend to fluctuate day to day. For intance, my bbs were very sore and then yesterday I noticed that they weren't and today its back again. Hopefully your next drs appt will put your mind at ease.

Kim - I would just tell them you have been given a miracle. It's the truth without telling the whole story. I would wait a little longer before you tell them so it doesn't appear that you were trying. Like you've been a couple weeks late and feeling bad and just decided to take a HPT for the heck of it.

thanks for taking the names out! it will be good to see a heartbeat in there. Now, if Tuesday would just hurry up and get here!lol atleast we are going camping for 4 days, so that will help distract me.

Ok ladies I need your help here. I have not yet told my family but think I should soon. I don't want to hide it for too long. My family does not know that I had TR and they would not have been supportive of it. How do I break this news to them. I am an adult and yet the thought of telling them scares me. I would love any advice. I do not plan on telling them of TR ever.

Kim - Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it. I just called in for work tonight, first time I've done that in a very long time. Besides the vomiting, I've had diarrhea for the past 12hrs too. I'm afraid I'll be pushing myself too much to work tonight. I really hate calling in though...
Snowgirl - I was able to edit my last post, so I deleted the names. I'm sure everything will be fine. At least you get another US though!

The ob just called back. they want me to come in on Tuesday for a viability u/s. I asked if I should cancel the appt if my symptoms come back and she said to touch base with them first. My dh isn't being very supportive.. thinks I am being pesamistic, etc.

Jamie I had m/s with all of my pregnancies so far just waves of nausea. I think it is to soon for me to get it. I did buy some ginger tea that seems to help, have you tried that.
