DeAnn, You should have an LH surge just before the release of the egg. There may be times when you will have a faint positive line. However, this is not the positive that you are looking for. You may want to test again later in the day at times like this. But testing daily around the time of ovulation, as per the instructions, should be sufficient. If you would like more information, you can review the information on the "saveontests" website. Good Luck! Fran M.,RN

I found that taking the test about 10 am was the best time. Also, this past month I had two days that were both positive. Several of the gals on here have indicated that the tests can pick up the rise, the positive, and the fall of the LH levels sometimes. One of the gals put up a site by the Better Business Bureau that rated the tests. They also did the pregnancy tests. Who would have thought? The site was interesting and helpful but I don't remember what it was now.

Best time to test is middle if day one in morning after 10 am and then again like around 6pm! We always have small amount of LH in our bodies so we will always see some kind of faint line! I always use the answer opks test strips u get 20 for 19.00! U will get 12-48 hrs before u O! Where the test line is as darker or darker then the control line! HTH

This is my first month testing for O. I had my TR 5/8/09, I am on CD 11. I took a OPT test from the dollar tree I did not have time to buy the clear blue KIT. I think it was negative the test line was very faint.(does this mean I am close to O? ) Has anyone used the dollar tree test? When is the best time to test for O morning or evening?
