I wish you the best. My husband and I had a tl about 3 yrs after our 2nd child. since our children were back to back and the money was just not enough to support more than a fam of 4 we thought we didn't want anymore. By the time 1999 to beginning of 2000 came around we realized we had done much better in life and was able to support more children and we started to research it. Dr B's page was one of those i went to thinking, gosh is it real or is it like one of those diet adds where u see all the testimonials and its not real. after speaking to many blessed ladies on here and talking with their staff we realized this was for real and Dr B was the one we wanted to do this. everyone thought we were crazy because we live in Texas and we would have to travel. we all loaded up (our 2 children and us) and we drove) was the best vacation ever!
Our TR was in June 2001. my tubes were 7cms but eventually one did close up. DR B and his whole staff was wonderful in talking to me and reassuring me that getting pregnant on one tube is possible. It took us about 16 months to get preg but in Nov 2003 we had our 1st Tr baby We thought we only wanted one more and got the IUD after him. In Aug 2008 we decided we were wrong and wanted another one. I was dreading it because i felt i always wanted my children b4 i was 34 lol. well it took 6 months ti the day of taking out the IUD and we are now preg with our 2nd TR baby. "he" is expected to be born Nov 12th
i think the whole preg phase is just different for everyone. I have been here on the board awhile and Im sure as some of the ladies will agree we have seen ppl get preg a month after TR to a couple yrs
If you make the choice to have your TR with Dr B or DR M I believe you have made the best choice ever. however whatever you do, i wish you the best of luck to you and your husband!
How exciting to want another baby! You will find a lot of support and experience from fellow message board members here. We would love to help answer your questions. We do 5 tubal reversal surgeries a day here and patients come from all over the world! Dr. Berger and Dr. Monteith have a 98% success rate in repairing one or both of the fallopian tubes. The success rate for having tubal reversal surgery versus IVF is much higher and you are able to try with each cycle and not just one medicated cycle in IVF. You will find the answers to your questions here in the boards and on the site. PG time frame varies from 1 month to years after TR. You can get the DVD, which I highly encourage you to do, by ordering it through the site to see the whole procedure. The DVD is an excellent source on the actual procedure that Dr.B and Dr. M perform. The clincher for me was that it is outpatient and minimal blood loss. Seeing the procedure performed really helped out in our decision. I researched for 2 years before making the final decision to actually have TR and I am so happy that we did it!

i am 32 and a tubal at 26 and have been remarried since 2005 now me and my husband want our own baby so i am trying to get a little bit of info on how the tubal reversal works and ask how many have had it done and if it works and how long after will it take to get pregnant please message back.
