Thank you ladies! I am sooooo scared. My Dr. was supposed to call me yesterday to say what he was gonna do, a repeat u/s, another hcg draw, etc. but he never called. Now his office is closed today! I am soooo mad! He could have at least called to say something! I am tempted to go to the ER to see if they can draw my HCG agan and do another u/s or something. I just feel so aweful sitting here, not doing anything. Although I am sure thats about all i can do at this point, I need to wait for the baby (hopefully) to develop enough to be seen, if that is what the Lord wants to happen. Other wise...well, i just wanna know. Until then, I will just drive myself crazy googling ultrasound pics. LOL Once again, thanks to all! I appriciate all responses!

my lmp was the 10th of may. I went in and the same thing happen, they saw the sac but nothing else. My numbers were good but still they didn\'t know. they ask me to come back in three days. I waited 4 days but got scared when I started to bleed. I went in and they did an US, heart beat was beating so fast and everything looked great. They said the bleeding should stop( and it did the next day). Now everything is fine. Try not to worry, and I know that\'s hard. Go back and get another US. Best Of luck

Hi Sandi, I hate to be the barer of bad news but the same thing happened to us with IVF and I waited as well hoping that in a week or so we would see something, that maybe the doctors were wrong. After 3 weeks of waiting and doing b/w and u/s it was obvious that there was no baby. The doctor called it a blighted ovum. The baby either never developed at all or started to develop and stopped before it was able to be seen. I hope this is not the case for you. I know it was extremely hard for me to bare at the time. I'll keep you in my thoughts. Rachel

Thanks for all of the responses. I am trying to stay positive, but it is difficult. Especially since I am a pesimistic person by nature. LOL I have called my Dr. and am waiting on him to review the u/s and let me know what he wants to do from there (a repeat u/s, hcg draw, etc) Once again, thanks to all and i will keep ya posted. It is possible that you are not as far along as you think, even though your LMP was 5/6. If you ovulated later than normal in May this would throw your gestational age of the pregnancy off by a few days to a week or so. I suggest that you ask for blood work to be done just to see where your HCG # are at. And follow up with another US in a week or so.

Sandi, Try to stay positive. Before I had my TL with one of my pregnancies I thought I was about 7 weeks pregnant ( because of my last cycle ) and I had a vaginal ultrasound done. They seen the sac but nothing else and told me that I was or had lost the baby and wanted to do a DNC. I had them do bloodwork then went in a few days later for more bloodwork and my #'s were going up. I waited another week and they did a repeat ultrasound and there he was. So needless to say, I found another doctor and went on to have a very healthy pregnancy. The outcome...I now I a very rambumous, healthy 5 1/2 year old that's getting on my last nerve at this very moment for slamming his bedroom door. lol Good luck and keep us posted!

dolphinlvr - If your sure about your dates, then I would probably be concerned the pg isn't viable. At almost 8 weeks - you should be able to visualize more inside the sac, and most likely a heartbeat as well.
It's possible your dates are off, and a week at this point could make a tremendous difference. If they repeat your u/s in a week, you should get a more positive answer.

I don't know I am sorry. but I would ask to the hcg drawn anyways. i think that is the only true way to know for sure. After 2 draws it should be able to tell you something. are you positive your that far along?????

I am by far new here, but I havent been on in forever! I had my TR 3/05. Since then I have had 2 beautiful baby boys. I got a BFP June 12 (LMP was May 6). I havent had my HCG drawn like I was supposed to, but I did have (after 2 reschedulings due to the u/s machine being down) my vaginal u/s yesterday (tue. 6/30). I am worried because there was a gestational sack right in my uterus where it should be, but...there was nothing there. No yolk sack, no fetal pole, nothing. According to my LMP of 5/6, I should have been 7w 6d yesterday (the day of my u/s). Does anyone know if this was ok, am i just wrong about how far along i am (which was what the u/s tech said could b possible) or am i in for a miscarriage? I am so broken hearted as many of you could imagine. I am scouring the internet, and everything i run across, says that i should have seen yolk sac, fetal pole and heartbeat by now. I am trying to stay optimistic, but it is hard, since I am positive i should have seen more than an empty sac yesterday. Thanks for any and all replies. Sandi
