Tammy, When you are pregnant, regular checkups are key to early detection and treatment. Prompt treatment is vital to preventing the development of severe and possibly life-threatening preeclampsia. If your blood pressure begins to rise during pregnancy, you will need close monitoring until after your baby is born. If you have high blood pressure that is rapidly increasing or has reached moderately high levels you may be treated with blood pressure medicine. Put a call into your doctor just to let him know how you're feeling and what your BP is. He can give you advice. Happy 4th of July. Martha

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and so far everything has been fine. I've been checking my blood pressure just to see what it is doing. Today it is 146/76. I've been out shopping so I'm hoping it has something to do with that and probably the heat.
