Hi Lisa, I just finished reading part 3 of your story about the journey you have been on. I'm sure that sharing your experience has inspired those who can relate to the sorrow of losing a child and to those who have hope, as you do, that life can take a different turn. As hard as expressing your feelings can be sometimes, it does help you to move on and can be motivating to you in a positive way. I wish you the best, post TR and in your future. Kathy

I just wanted to thank everyone who is taking their time to read about my whole journey. Dr. B and the staff has been surely one of the greatest experiences of my life. The road to getting there was really hard, and the past few years of my life have been the hardest that a person could ever imagine. It has definitely given me a lesson on life, and while so many people think you have a choice to survive after the kind of loss i have, it's not a choice, and i can't even answer how i have survived the past 2 years. July 30 will mark my Jaydens 2 year mark since having left us, and, i must say that I think having my surgery and experience with everyone at CHTRC has certainly helped me and is helping me get through this time of year, it is not the easiest for me. Anyways, i just really wanted to thank everyone who is taking their time out to read my blog. It has been such a special journey for me, and i am so honored that i am able to share my experiences with people, and actually interact with others about it! All my love and baby dust to all...... Lisa
Pam - Dr. Harwood's post about anesthesia at CHTRC were also very complimentary:
quote:I just wanted to post a quick message about my experiences at CHTRC since I have been an anesthesiologist here since January. I have worked at several practice locations since 1986, including an academic medical center for 15 years. I have to say that, without question, Drs. Berger, Monteith and Hertz and the staff here have developed one of the safest surgical centers in which I have worked. I am picky about my practice locations, and I feel very secure here knowing that the patients will be protected and kept safe. I would not hesitate in recommending the Center to friends, family, and colleagues. Congratulations to Dr. Berger and everyone at the Center.

Helping patients through their fears of anesthesia and surgery is one of the most rewarding experiences of my field. I am glad I was able to be a part of your care. Thank you, Lisa, for your nice comments about your TR Day your blog.

Lisa, Thank you for sharing. It was very tough to watch my daughter lose her firstborn, our "Baby Billy". As a mother, you always want to protect your child and the best for them. I couldn't take away the pain she felt in losing her firstborn. She is my firstborn also. I just happened to be PG with my 8 yr old at the same time and I had to try very hard not to get too upset, but I couldn't and ended up on bedrest due to the emotional stress of losing our Baby Billy. She, my daughter, lived with us when he was born so we were all very close. I was with her when she was in labor and we were so blessed to enjoy him for the time we had him. We do not understand "why" he was taken to Heaven, but we will find out one day.
Many blessings upon you. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you all the days of your life. Through the rough road, the smooth road, and all that lies ahead, may He continually have mercy upon you and grant you ALL the necessary graces to embrace the cross and deal with all that you may encounter.
Hugs and blessings, Denise
Now I am going to go read the next part of your journey.

Lisa... I rode back to the hotel with you and your mother in the shuttle the day you had your surgery. I had to go back to check and see why we could not control my pain. I am not sure if you remember me though, you were pretty out of it. I do remember you telling me about your little angel. God Bless!!! Heather
