No, the missing clip is somewhere within the abdominal cavity. Since it is composed of inert material, it is fine to remain where it is. There is no way for it to go into the uterus or cause problems with a pregnancy. Fran M.,RN

After the clip is placed on the tube during the TL procedure the tissue which is between the clip dies. As this happens the clip may or may not fall off when the tube separates. Similar to how a baby's umbilical cord clamp falls off after a few days. This is not dangerous and the clip is simply somewhere in the abdominal cavity. I hope this helps.

has anyone had a TR and had them find one of your clips missing from the TL? if the clip were to come off after the initial TL procedure where would it likely go, could it end up in the uterus? how would you know if it did? what problems could it cause if it fell off and it isn't found?
