As far as my Dr.s they havent really stated when to start the prenatals again. True, they all seem so dumb~found to the METHO. I dont understand how they can so freely give this to ppl without knowing anything about it.It is really ticking me of. All in all though, I am doing fairly well. I still have had no sign of AF. I have had slight cramping and as soon as I get the cramps I chunk pills because I have heard too many ppl say that the cramping is unbearable. Hopefully that is not the case for me. I wish it wouldnt have to be that way fro anyone but I hope all are recovering well. I know they say to wait at least 2 cycles but they cant give a real reason WHY. First they say to make sure that the METHO is out of your system. Well, when I went to my DR Thursday, she was like, oh yea, the METHO shouldnt be in your system. Someone stated:i had a metho.inj on Feb 2, 05 and got pregnant March 17, 2005 and all is good. So, ladies, IDK, I will try and post all the info that I can about the subject because I want to know it all too. They want to give you these drugs and then cant give 90% - 100% answers!

My RE told me to wait one cycle. It is according to how much of the metho shot was administered. I received 25mg, the lowest dose. My RE stated it would be completely out of my system within two weeks. I got another BFP two cycles later and sadly m/c. Since then I have had two more m/c. Not sure if the shot had anything to do with my losses or not but it is a chemotherapy drug so who knows.
My RE told me to stop my prenatal and not to eat anything that had folic acid in it. (Leafy greens ect) Once I was ready to TTC again then to start my regular regiment of vitamins.
6- YES! It is frustrating seeing women who get pregnant and don’t care about their own health much less the baby they are carrying. I have seen this too many times to count.
I would wait the time your doctor has stated (which I am sure you are) plus it gives your body that extra chance to get everything in working order again. This process was one of the most frustrating, depressing, never-ending it seemed but please take care of yourselves physically and mentally.

Do the doctors recommend extra folic acid as soon as your number are zeroed out, or do they just say to go back on the prenatals? There is so much unknown about the longterm effects of metho... didn't they used to say to wait 6 months to TTC?

I don't think she was planning on TTC right now but her and I are going thru the same thing and are curious since no one really knows what happens after the shot and it is different for each of us. Because I too have been curious to hear someone say how soon they got pg after the shot and how it turned out.

Yea, I was wonderin about that too. But isn't it odd that ppl that do all the negative things like: smoke while prggo or take illegal drugs while preggo and have no prenatal care what~so~ever tend to get preggo, just like that and sometimes have healthy babies! That has always puzzled me. LoL But I know there is someone out there that has possibly conceived within the allotted time, so if you are out there, come forward and testify! LoL

6isntenuff, it is very important that you wait the recommended amount of time after the metho shot before you TTC again. The baby can be born w/ serious birth defects if you don't. The shot depletes your body of folic acid, and you can't start the folic acid supplements back up until your numbers go down.

Just wondering if it's possible or if anyone has gotten preggo right after a METHO shot. OR how soon did you get a BFP after the METHO shot. I know that they say to wait 2 cycles and that your 1st AF after the M/C is not considered the 1st AF. But, I just wanted to ask that question and to see how the pregnancy went for you. Thanks

I went to the DR today. My levels are down to 24.2 Anne367....your numbers appear to be dropping quickly. I know not as quickly as you would like but it's happening. Plus your numbers where really high. You should be alot lower by the end of next week.

Hi ladies! Again, I'm sorry you're going through all this. I read your posts and my heart breaks for you! I'm pretty sure AF won't show until your numbers are down to 0. At least that's how it went for me. Keep us posted and know I'm praying! Mindy

Tiffany I sent you an email yesterday! My levels yesterday were 2245. My breasts are still very tender and sore too! I feel like I am playing a game and it isn't a fun one! I just wish AF would come and be done so I could move on and get over with this whole ordeal! Nothing like a slow torture of weeks wondering what is gonna happen when!

Anne367.....How are you feeling? Hi ladies. I went for my blood work this morning to make sure my levels are dropping. I will know the results after my DR visit today. I will share the news just as soon as I know something. Still no AF in sight! Does anyone know why the boobies remain sooooo sore. Also it is very tender around my belly button, sometimes I can barely touch it. Has anyone else experienced this?

E/P- 11/08 I've since had 3 chemical pregnancies and have been "dealing" with low progesterone. Getting pregnant doesn't seem to be my problem, it's holding onto the pregnancy early on... Needless to say, my heart breaks for evey woman who has to go through this! Mindy

6- I know what you mean about awaiting AF. It was a relief once I got it to know it was all over and I could move on. I will say though, the first few months of ttc after the e/p, the bfn's came as a heartbreak as well as a relief. I was still so afraid of another e/p. So take the time you need to heal. Blessings!

Hi Ladies. I am pretty good for the most part. I have not experienced much pain after being hospitalized. I am awaiting AF, hoping that it not too unbearable and wanting to move and and try again. I just hope and pray that it will not end with the same results. Going through this ordeal in the beginning is and was very scary to me. Anne367.....they say that surgery should be the last resort. I hope that you are feeling well. Remember I am her for you to talk as well as others from the board. Take care of yourself and get the much needed rest that your body needs.
