That was my concern also, but without the ultrasound lady, there is not much I can do. I wish I did have another option. I am going crazy out of concern and excitement. Like I said Bipolar. I have been so cranky since I found out that I won't know till Tuesday. I am freaked about the possibilty of EP. Any advice on what I should do?

paprika, At this point, you've established a doubling pattern which is good. Numbers that don't double or have big gaps can be indicative of EP. They tell you to get your blood drawn EOD to watch for that "magic number" of 1500 when you can usually see the beginning of the pregnancy in the uterus and then know it is all safe and sound. There really wouldn't be a need to continue with the blood draws at this point because you are past that number. However, waiting another week would worry me. By next Tuesday, your levels could be over 16,000. If the pregnancy is located outside of the uterus, despite the way the numbers are doubling, you could be putting yourself at risk. I'd try to talk your doctor into an earlier U/S. If you develop any signs/symptoms of EP, seek help immediately. Remember, sometimes there are no early s/s to let you know of the danger.

Hi ladies.. just got back from school and finally get a chance to get on my4th numbers were great 1st 72 2nd 173 3rd 485 4th 2045
U/S set up for Tuesday. Do you thinkI need to continue with the bloodwork? My Dr. Wasn't sure. He feels it wouldn't be necessary, but that makes me a bit nervous. I hate waiting till tuesday. The sonographer won't be back till Monday, adn my DH will be out of town on Monday so, I guess Tuesday it is. Atleast I will be right at 6 weeks adn have a better chance to see if this is my sticky bean....

Just heard back from my Dr for my numbers on friday, they were at 485!!!! Dr. said if they double againg we are going to set up U/S for Friday. I just can't stop thanking the God every time I hear my numbers. There is still part of me that just won't let me accept it completely. Once I hear Paprika is right where he/she is supposed to be, I will be past cloud nine!!!! Boy has this baby hit me hard with symptoms with the excepton of morning sickness. (Not too bad yet). I swear Paprika is stealing my brain.. I can not complete a thought.

Now living in Ga. but I am from Florida. Jacksonville, my DH is from Brunswick and I moved for him. He wasn't fond of the big city life.. I miss it.

Paprika~ Thank- you so much for your encouraging words! I really appreciate that! I haven't got my first beta's back yet (hopefully today) but even so the first was really isn't conclusive of anything. One promising thing is though that my pg tests keep getting darker & darker, and my symptoms are stronger, and stronger. My last 2 pg's neither of these things happened! So fingers crossed! Taraann I was 14 DPO on my first darw. I am a bit scared to only because I see some of the other numbers almost tripled on their second draw and some were not as far a long as I. My nurses and the wonderful ladies on this board keep encouraging me by telling their stories of low beginning numbers and it doesn't matter how low the numbers are as long as they double.
Although they have me at 4 weeks, my OB doesn't believe I conceived until the 10th, so that plays a key in the numbers too. The farther along you are the higher the numbers. So, do as I do and tell yourself every time you start getting nervous or freaking out... my numbers doubled, my numbers doubled!!! We are going to be just fine. Worst case, it doesn't work for me I just tell myself at least I know I have the next month now. I know Dr. M gave me the miracle of the possibilty of conception. Something I couldn't do before June 1st, 2009. I will be praying for you and your sweet pea. If you need to vent or cry I am in the same boat e mail me.. gatorgurl1@hotmail.com.. Anyone can. Sometimes it's nice to cry to someone feeling the same fears..

Paprika~ What day dpo were you on your first & 2nd blood draws? My first was done today on 13 dpo and the 2nd will be 15 dpo. Very curious! I'm starting to panic now... ~Taraann
