The doctor has all the details of my history and the family history. I have done tons of bloodwork that has all come back perfect. I guess it is something that will hopefully go away after the baby comes. The baby is fine, so I am a lot less worried now. I have been able to feel my babies all very early. One at 14 weeks and the last two at 11 weeks. Because of the position of the baby and the fact that it is measuring at 11 weeks is the reason that I am able to feel it already. I am not sure it has hit me yet that I am having another baby. The doctors took me off of all caffine including chocolate. They are hoping that will keep my heart thing at bay, maybe.

Good morning. Hope everyone is doing great. I'm on my way to the dr. right now. We had our second draw yesterday, and they called back saying the doctor wants to see us today. They wouldn't tell me the numbers or anything...I'm scared to death, but trying to stay positive. I'm having trouble thinking of any way it could be good news the way they were acting, so I'm also bracing myself.
I'll let y'all know what I find out.

good morning all! i had my nurse appt yesterday...and guess what i got an u/s too! the nurse was so mad that i had to wait until i was 10 weeks to get an appt especially since i'm high risk for a tubal pregnancy. but everything looked good, i'm 10 weeks and 3 days so i'm due march 22, 2010. since i didn't know i was pregnant and taking birth control when i got pregnant i am now moved to the high risk category and will have atleast 2 more u/s just to make sure everything is ok. heart rate was 168 that's the same it was for my daughter sophia...hopefully that's a sign that it's another girl!!

Heather - Did your doctor check you for things like anemia, low levels of oxygen in your blood, hypoglycemia, changes in blood pressure, and your thyroid? While heart palpatations are not uncommon and are typically harmless due the increased volume of blood and your heart working harder, anything besides small 15 second episodes could be an indicator of something else. Are they having you wear a haltor monitor as well so they can keep a check, especially if your family has a history of heart arrythmias. My father had serious heart issues for years, and careful and constant monitoring is the only protection for you and your pg.

I know this is a newer doctor to you, but please make sure you give him a good comprehensive family history.

I'm very suprised you feel movement at 10 weeks. The baby is only about an inch long, and weighs less than a 1/2 an ounce. Your the only person I've ever heard of or met that felt fetal movements at 10 weeks...

Best of luck with your health and I hope your doctor carefully monitors your heart and pg!

nope- nothing at all. Wasn't super sick. My numbers were normal. I actually found out as I had some cramping, etc. and alot of my symptoms lightened up so they did a "viability" u/s to check baby at 8 weeks and found 2! I had had an u/s at 5 weeks and they had only seen one sac, etc. Shortly after finding out it was twins the "morning sickness" kicked in and was an all day event, but I still never actually vomited.. I am a lucky girl. But I was exhausted to the point I was convinced I was anemic..well beyond anything that I had with my prior pregnancies. But nope, not anemic, just first trimester sleepies x2! and now, I am so stinking big! If I didn't know there was 2 I would be scared I was having giant baby! but this is also my 4th pregnancy, so that adds to it.

well tomorrow I have the appointment with the high risk dr. to check on the babies and check their growth. I am just praying baby B has caught up to baby a or at the least, there isn't more of a growth difference. Send some prayers our way if you could. Thanks!
We should also get a good gender shot, so hopefuly we can for sure find out if it is girls.. if so, this weekend there is a room that is turning pink in our house! [Smile] [Smile]

Amanda- many good thoughts and prayers headed your way. I hope everything works out!

Heather- I had crazy heart palpitations in my first trimester.. like just bending over sometimes would make my heart do the funky beat. It has since settled down alot and I have only the occasional palp. Granted, your family history is different than mine, but maybe your will settle down too once your body gets used to the increased blood volume.

PaulnJenn I totally agree with you i didn't feel movement with all 3 of my pregnancy's till around the 14th week either. Heather did you find out the sex too? As i see your stating it's a "She"! Good Luck threw out the rest of your pregnancy though!

Heather- I hope you mentioned that to the doctor about it running in your family because in your previous post you stated the docs don't know whats going on. I hope the DRs figure it out soon so your baby stays safe. Plus keeps your mind at ease because all this Extra worry can't be good as well. BOY OH BOY! Are you going to have an active little one to be feeling movement now. I never felt movement till after my 14th week of pregnacy with all three of mine! [Smile] As I said before good luck to you.

I am sure that it is not gas. The doctors have been checking me for two days and have caught the episodes "in action" if you will. I am just now 10 weeks so we are surprised that this happened so early. The doctor says the only real way to take care of the arrithymias is to take a beta blocker which will go through the placenta to the baby, so that is not an option. So as long as I am functioning they are going to keep an eye on it and leave it alone. They baby is measuring a week bigger than dates, but we know the dates are right. My concern was mainly for the baby, so I can deal with what heart things I need to to make sure she is healthy. Heart arrithymias run in the family which we just figured out that is what my "flutters" fromt he time I was in high school have been. I am praying that they go away, because they are hard on my body. They did rule out twins with the u/s so we know that it is not the extra demand of a second baby taking its toll on my heart.

Congrats Mamas!

Heather- Are you sure you aren't feeling gas? I didn't think you were out of your first trimester. With this u/s did they rule out twins? Good luck to you on your health issues.

I just got back from more doctors appointments. I have spent most of the last two days in various doctor's offices. I am having trouble with my heart. They still don't know what is going on. They do know that my heart keeps pausing, which is not good. We did get an ultrasound today and we have a very healthy baby who is very active. I can already feel the baby kicking away. [Smile] I have so many wires on that I look like a christmas tree. LOL

I just called the doctors office to get something for the nausea and sleeplessness at night. (I'm tired all day, but for some reason can't sleep at night)

They would not prescribe anything. They told me to go buy some B6, stop my prenatals and just pick up some folic acid, and take a unisom at bedtime. Has anyone else tried these things and had them work? I was hoping to get an rx. Not sure why they were being stingy about it.

Ok my third draw was on 8/24/09 HCG was 1856.. we saw the sac in uterus. I started hurting and had to go back to dr. yesterday.. he did another ultrasound and saw something in my right tube.. he sent me for a 4th draw and it was 2400.. so he thought I might just have a cyst..because of seein the sac 2 days earlier. he decided to do surgery and he ended up takin my right tube.. He did not do a D&C because of the other sac.. I will find out when i go back if it is still there.
