Hi,
I have 3 kids aged 22, 20 and 17. I had TL in spring 2005 but following bereavement met my new husband who at 32 had no kids of his own. I had my TR in feb 08 aged 40. My lengths were 9.5 I think. After having been told by our own beloved British doctors that I was hitting menopause and IVF was the only chance, we gave up trying ... and 2nd cycle after giving up I finally fell pregnant ( had a couple of v early losses along the way) So it took us 14 months. Im now 29 weeks pregnant and my first grandchild is due 7 weeks after this precious little one! Best of luck , ,

my lenghts were 6 or 7, I cant remember the right lenghts but I know it was 6 or 7 and they were the same on both sides. One just had .5 more. So it was 6.5 or 7.5. As of FEB of this year I lost my left tube due to it in my tubes. The way I see it is as long as you have a open tube you will always have a chance even if it takes a little longer. I got PG with my one tube just a month after I lost my left tube. I wish you the best and I send you lots of baby dust

nymomofeight and khadija, I was wondering what your tube lengths are. I'm 38 almost 39 and just had the reversal done in Oct. We haven't even started trying yet but I feel inspired by both of you being around my age and getting pregnant with some ease. I have short tubes and plan on just letting things happen. I know when I "O" and plan on just going with the flow. I've read all the statistics but still like to know the personal experiances of others.
thanks

nymomofeight , I just wanted to say that you are ahead of me. I was just asking the other day who was the one with the most TR babies. Im now PG with #5 but one was in my tubes so I have 3. #4 is due in FEB, im now 25 weeks. You have your hamds full. I have a 1, 2 and 3 year old so I know how you feel. Glad to see you just had one 7 weeks ago. They are so small and sweet at this age. Hope you are getting enough sleep. I wish you and the rest of the ladies the very best.

should be easy ...that's what we all thought well i know I did ..I'm 34 ,33 time of TR. I'm also in perfect health no triathlon but very active I race motor cross.I have a 12 and 13 year old no problem getting pregnant with them. My TR went great left tube 5.5 and right 5 7 months later i'm still waiting on my blessing .I know it will happen and i'm not trying to discourage you. CHTRC is a wonderful place and so many beautiful babies are able to be born because of Dr.B and Dr.M .I just don't want you to think it happens in the first 3 months for everyone But ,does happen! Wishing you the best of luck and lots of baby dust ! Michelle

Although the natural fertility rate does decline as we age, as long as menstruation is still occurring, there is no specific age limit to having the reverse tubal ligation. A serum FSH test is useful to determine the status of a woman's ovarian reservoir of remaining eggs. In a follow-up study of more than 1500 patients who had tubal reversal surgery with Dr. Berger and Dr. Monteith , in pregnancy data for women who underwent tubal reversal during the period from January 2006 to July 2007, approximately 50% of the women became pregnancy and had their fertility restored after a previous tubal ligation. Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center is the only facility in the country dedicated solely to procedure of tubal reversal surgery.
