Author Topic: Hey ladies :) Abryant1724 Member # 14151 posted                    Danaka- I have to ask- since I am newby- working towards a near future TR- so I am researching my options- how was the plane ride? I live in Oklahoma so I am somewhat weary of a 4 hour flight and switching planes and all that post op because I have heard there is quite a bit of discomfort after the procedure- I am weighing options- what is best- car ride or plane flight? I would like to hear opinions on both...also- what is the story with JP drains and strips? Do we all have those? I am totally clueless....inform me please!! Thanks! We teach our patients to do it in the shower too BUT when it comes down to me doing it.... I tend to be a better teacher than listener lol Jaima- I hoping your pain subsides really soon! Just make sure you listen to your body if it tells you to rest, REST! Icing it will help out a lot. I have only taken motrin twice today and I'm doing pretty good. Danaka in-Gods-hands Member # 11795 posted                 Danaka on removing your strips I used ice cubes. They made it so easy and removed pain if any too. Some ladies have talked about getting in the shower and getting them wet to remove them. I wish you all the best. I am glad you are doing well. I started having some sharp pains on my left side but it could be due to all the hurrying from airplane to airplane! Laura Dval2007 Member # 13961 posted                    I haven't been able to keep up with everyone this week. (I have felt bad) I HOPE everyone is feeling a DOING great! How are you guys feeling?? Yesterday was a really hard day for me, I was in A LOT of pain. Today I think I am doing just fine. (I haven't felt this good since the first day) I am glad for that. I still have a ton of bruising from where they put the JP Drain. I will be taking my steri strips off tomorrow (maybe Sunday.... I'm being a little chicken ;)lol I am hoping the DH and I caught the egg this month only time will tell. Only a few weeks to wait.. that part of the game is NO FUN! Well girlie's can't wait to hear from you all all. Missed talking to my friends! Becky and Jaima I hope you guys are feeling good! Danaka
