just heard from dr. she says to stop taking pills. will do another draw monday, just for my piece of mind, had to push for it. but it will make me feel better Rita

I had progesterone tested again 11/6. I was 12 weeks that day. number was 16. waiting for a call back from my dr if I should continue to take the pills. numbers just seems way too low for where I am. Rita

i called to get my progesterone level from 10/28 it was 13. ive been taking prometrium 200 mg a day pills for a month now. it was 9 when i started. shouldn't my numbers be higher? I am afraid to stop taking them in two weeks. when does the placenta start working?? thanks Rita

Rita Mae, I would suggest discussing this with your doctor. Advise him of your concerns. He should be able to explain to you his plan for you and the baby.
Rita Mae. I had to take them too and I know I was scared to death to stop them. By now, the placenta has taken over producing the hormone, so you should be fine just like Karen said. I just wanted to offer a little ((((hug)))) from another person who knows where you've been and how frightening it is.

yes, it's fine to stop then. I actually stopped at that time also, two days before my NT scan and everything was fine. I'm actually rocking my twin daughter to sleep at this moment. I wish you the best.
