Nickzero I'm sure I'll love being a polive wife too, just need to get used to the idea that there will be people out there that want to hurt him and others. DH will most likely work nights also, we'll find out soon, but I work nights 7p-7a and DH used to work nights (7p-7a) a few years ago as a RN so hopefully we'll be able to work our schedules out to where I work on his days off, he'll have 4-5 days off in a row. DH has taught me how to defend myself so I feel failry confident, especially with my kids in the house. I agree, it would be nice to have the same surgery date but our dates are only 10 days apart so we can still take the journey together.

I love being a police wife. The only thing that sucks is that he works over night. I guess it is just a security issue. Luckily we moved to what seems to be a safe neighborhood. To bad we don't have our surgery on the same day. It sounds like not only us have something in common, but our DH's would hit it off. If you ever want to talk my e-mail address is Nickzero@sbcglobal.net

Wow! You went through a lot! I'm glad to hear that your mom is doing better! I'm a regsitered nurse and I work in the pediatric emergency room, DH is also a pediatric RN but will be graduating from the police academy in Dec and I'm a little, no I'm a lot anxious about him being out there where the bad guys can shoot at him! But it's what he loves and he's happy. Nickzero you can share any advice of being a police wife anytime!

I am so excited for you and your DH's fresh start. Wow, 4 boys.....I bet your ready for a girl hehe! My DH and I are both 25. We have a girl (3) and a boy (2). While I was pregnant with my son, my mother (who is my rock) had a stroke. My dad was soooo lost without her (she was in the hospital for MONTHS), so I had to hold down the fort for everybody. It was so hard to be pregnant, have a 7 month old, have a mom in the hospital (dad there too, he never left her side) and to top it all off my DH is a police officer. So, the stress about killed me. That whole pregnancy was a blur!!! It was so sad because I never wanted a TL. I am the type of girl everyone hates because I LOVE to be PREGGO! At the time though it felt like my life was over. Fast forward two years my whole family is doing wonderful. My mother has not fully recovered, but she is ALIVE. They told us she was not going to make it, but she did. My babies are growing up and I am finally getting the hang of being a police officers wife. So, I am soooooo ready to expand our beautiful family. I know I wasn't much younger at the time of the TL, but I had a lot of growing up to do. I never had experienced a tragedy EVER and now that I have a feel like I can grow from the experience.

I'm with you on the "healthiest and safest way possible". I've only been reading the boards for a short while so I'm not too familiar with everyone yet so I'd like to introduce myself...I have four beautiful boys ages 15,11,10,and 9 this month, all from my first marriage. I'm 35 and DH will be 37 this month. I had my TL in 2000 after my youngest son was born. I have since divorced and remarried. DH is an AMAZING guy! DH considers my boys his children and has no biological children of his own. This is such an amazing and exciting journey that we are on!

I'll tell you that DB and I BDd the night before surgery and I really tried to get him to do the deed after surgery, but he was afraid he was going to 'tear' something up and undo what Dr Monteith did...silly man! I tried to tell him that I was fine! Absolutely FINE! But, he was afraid and says he was looking out for my health...blah, blah, blah!!! So, I missed out on a BFP after surgery (I ovulated a few days later)! We are definitely trying now. Just pay attention to your body. You'll know when the timing is right to TTC after surgery. We all heal differently.

Well, I am having a little trouble deciding that. I have ALWAYS tracked my cycles on this really cool website called mymonthlycycles.com They track your period and your ovulation. I just looked on there today and saw that I should be ovulating on the day of my surgery. So, I don't know what I should do since we will be in NC two days before surgery and I just know DH is gonna wanna do the BD while we are there. I am a little worried that I am going to get preggo right after surgery!!! I mean I want to TTC a.s.a.p but only if it is the healthiest & safest way possible.

Nice to meet you Nickzero, it is exciting! I would like to TTC as soon as possible after TR, I know they suggest waiting until after one cycle. How about you? When are you going to start TTC?
