motherbug, I am glad your surgery went well! Keep resting as much as you can. [Smile]

My tubes are short also, but shorter...2 cm on both sides. My TL doctor didnt leave much to work with. But with that being said, there are women that do get pregnant with even shorter tubes than you, so stay positive. [Smile]

*Thanks for the thoughts and prayers* [Big Grin]

I was wondering what was going on with you. Where you have been. Just glad everything is fine and you are home. Have you been taking those stool softners I was mentioning the other day? Those will be your BEST FRIEND! I took them for a week straight. lol I think a few days I took 2 cause I new it was coming, and I didn't want any pain. [Wink]
Keep positive on your tube lengths.... Mine are just about the same! I will pray you get that BFP before you know it!

Hi everyone!! BIG HUGS!! I AM FINALLY FINALLY HOME! Sorry I didn't keep in touch, but the internet connection at the hotel would not work after the first day - so I was missing in action! LOL! So, here is the deal - my tubes are 3 cm and 2.5 cm. I don't really even remember writing the first post, I must have been more drugged out than I thought... [Big Grin]

First, I want to once again say how thankful I am to everyone at CH. This place is a top notch facility!!! I felt so blessed to be in such good hands. Everything went well, (I passed out during the IV and gave my hubby a scare! LOL - oh well, that never happened to me...the shame!!) but, really, after the surgery I had very minor cramps (like first day of af) and I never felt sick or dizzy. I ate a salad that night, and took one pain med. The next day I did experience more cramping feeling, but - nothing that a women couldn't tolerate!
I am sore right now - but, it was a long day - two flights and a whole lotta walking! Plus, no BM yet! I will feel better when that happens!
So, thanks again everyone. And, I want everyone to know that Dr. Monteith is a wonderful Doctor...and, it does not matter if you get him or Dr. Berger, b/c they are both capable and excellent Doctors!!!! I will be praying for a bfp one of these days even with my little bitty tubes!!

Chrissy,
I too have the short tubes(same as Danaka's) and had my TR 9/17. We have to all be positive and know that at least the chance is there now where it wasn't before our TR. Keep your head up and stay positive. BTW... Dr. Monteith did my TR also and I think he's Wonderful!!!

Congrats! I am so darn excited for you!!!!!!

I want to tell you that.... it is something harder to deal with but, you have to stay positive! ((Hugs)) I am still dealing with the shortness of mine. Mine are 3.5 on my left and 3cm on my right. I thought it was the other way around but its not. So in reality my tubes are 1 inch and 1.5 inches!!! I cried but it still is possible to have that pregnancy [Smile] Which we will get!! I aslo found out today that I had tons of scaring covering everything. It will all work out for us [Smile]
Please stay positive and get lots of rest!! I wish I could have been there to hold your hand [Wink]

Hi Chrissy,
It was very nice meeting you and your husband today. Please do not be discouraged. Many patients are concerned after reversal surgery when they are told they have short tubal lengths. Woman have reported pregnancies with tubes as short as 1 cm. Every Friday we post all the pregnancies reported to us on the Weekly Pregnancies Report Forum. Last week a woman reported her pregnancy with tubes as short as 2.0 cm. Stay positive.

Congratulations Chrissy! Glad you're on the other side with us old timers. Mine was done a whole week ago!
The way I think about it; we've done our part. The rest is up to God.

Hi Everyone! I am recovering from my reversal surgery this morning. There was some delays, so I didn't go into the OR until around 11:30ish and I didn't get back to the hotel until around 2:00 ish.
I took a two hour nap (on and off) but, overall I feel good. I feel like I do on my first day of my period.
The day went well, and everyone at the center is just so wonderful and sweet! Dr. Monteith did my surgery, and he said everything went well. My lengths were disappointingly short and I am not prepared to mention them yet. But, even so, Dr. M. assured me that a pregnancy can still occur even with tubes my lengths. Seems my obgyn took a whole lot of tube when doing my tubal ligation [Mad] I want to mail him and ask for them back! LOL!@ Right now, I have a numb left leg, and that is my only problem. It is slowly getting better, just making walking extremely hard. But, the incision site feels fine.
I am gonna rest more now, I am still a bit tired!
Chrissy
