Hello everyone. Well I had a bilateral tubal cauterization (one burn each side). Recently as you all know, I had an ectopic and my left tube was removed. I hope to have Dr. B do my TR on my right tube soon. My GYN wanted my to go through IVF but I just can't see myself using needles. I am hopeful that the TR will be successful. I am going to be opening my account soon. I have half the $100 to start. I graduate soon and am going to send as much as I can to Chapel Hill.
I also had a bipolar cauterization (triple burn). I am scheduled for TR on 5/6. I will keep you posted on outcome of tube lengths. I don't see to many women on here with this type of TL.

Ya know, I've been posting to this board for last month or so and never really introduced myself (kind of just jumped in ).
Anyway, my name is Donna. I reside in Minnesota (but am originally from Maine - born and raised). I recently celebrated my 2nd anniversary with my hubby who is my best friend and soul mate. We met after my divorce and became very good friends that obviously developed into something more . We both have children from our previous marriages. My daughters are 18 & 15 and his daughter is 5 and his son is 3. We both talked about having children together, but given my TL we knew it was going to take surgery to make that dream a reality. So, here we...on the long road to having the reversal done. The road here has had it's share of bumps, but it's made us stronger. My TL is a bipolar cauterization (triple burn). The TL itself didn't present any problems for a successful reversal, however a surgery that I had 3 years ago took out more of my fallopian tube (both sides ) and now because of this, I will have to have a procedure called "tubouterine implantation". Dr. Berger has done them before and with success, so I am having him do this surgery on me to hopefully regain fertility. The percentages for success with this type of surgery is lower then if a normal reversal was being done, but it is higher then IVF and I am able to try each month without the expense that can sometimes go with IVF. IVF is the route my GYN wanted me take, but I am a hopeful person and I want to give this a try first. I've come to realize that Dr. Berger and his staff are so very giving to their patients (prospective ones too) and feel that if I am to have a chance at all, then Dr. Berger is going to help me get there.
I also wanted to say that this website is fantastically put together and I am very impressed at the way the doctor, nurses, & his whole staff take the time to personally answer any questions we have, to share in our joys and sorrows, and to make us feel so welcome here!!!
Well, now that I've written a mini novel , I probably should post this and get ready for snack time (I run a daycare) before my kids here get antsy (right now they are coloring).
