Hi, I'm new to the site and have been told I should consider a hysterectomy since I was 27. I had my 3rd son and 3rd C-section at barely 25. I was told I should not have any more babies due to the C-sections and have regretted it ever since.
I had always had some symptoms of PMS before my sons were born, but after my tubal my symptoms became unbearable! I now have severe cramping, confusion, breast tenderness, heavy bleeding, frequently bleeding so heavily I only wished I could have waited an hour between changes, painful clots that were huge, sweating, pain in my hips that feel like a knife being twisted from the inside of my hip bones trying to work its way out, nausea, and so on. Finding this site only confirms my belief that my symptoms were caused from the tubal.
I turned 44 2 weeks ago and in another 2 weeks my youngest son will turn 19. The doctor who performed my surgery has been retired for many years and I do not know what method of tubal I had, but still have to question if having a reversal would help my sypmtoms. Due to my PMS I only feel my best for about 7 -10 days out of the month. I often can't stand to be around myself but can't seem to get away.
I have resolved thatI will continue to feel this way until menopause, but my mother did not go through that until her mid to late 50's, meaning I could continue this way for another 10+ years. Is there hope even at my age to feel better with a reversal?
If you have had a reversal in your 40's could you please let me know your experiences? I do appreciate it.
