I know how grateful I am that Dr. Berger did my TR. At times I like to watch the Discovery Health Channel and it just caught my curiousity. Thank You for answering that for me. THANKS!!
Dr. Berger did my TR in 2003. I started out with two tubes that were L4,R5 after my TR. I had an ectopic in 2003 and lost my right side because every where I went thought I pulled a stomach muscle. My numbers went up great, but when it came to the u/s it showed nothing, and they just believed I wasn't as far along until my tube ruptured. That pregnancy ended at 6w2d.
So here is alittle update on me. Well in Feb I will be going to a fertility clinic to see why I only got pg that one time and why it hasn't happened again. My DH and I have decided that we shouldn't wait any longer and see what is going on. I have been on clomid for 5 months and nothing happened, but also it wasn't monitored. DH had a SA and that came back good too. Had HSG and my one tube was wide open and saw it with my own eyes flowing all the way through. Dr. B said it looked great and that it was wide open. I do the opk's and have a fertility monitor, so I know I am not missing any important days... So I don't know what to do anymore. I give my DH so much credit for beig so patient, he is alot more than me. At times I feel like giving up, and at others I believe that miracles can happen to those who believe. Thanks for reading. Sorry so long Tracy

Tracey, Good question. We encourage women to look at the pregnancy statistics of the doctor performing the TR because they can vary greatly. Many doctors just say their pregnancy rate is so and so but have no data to back it up. Dr. Berger has a very detailed database from where he obtains his statistics. We enter all kinds of data every day in order to provide women of all ages, TLs, and tubal lengths the most informative data possible.
You also need to consider experience. Dr. Berger does four TRs five days a week and has performed more TRs than any other doctor in the world.
I hope this helps explain why Dr. Berger has higher pregnancy rates than what you saw on the Discovery Channel. Please let me know if you have any other questions I would be glad to talk to you more.

I heard on the Discovery Health Channel, that women who get tubal reversals that after the procedure that one out of three women will get pregnant. Does those predictions sound right to you?? They made it seem like it was rare, but at the same time the woman who was in labor was working on her 2 TR baby and only had one tube, that was 4cm, which I was so happy to see since I'm a one tuber also. I love asking questions, sorry
