I am so sorry to hear of the confusion regarding your transportation!! However, I can assure everyone that this is not typical. Nick has been providing airport transportation for us for several years and this is the first time I have heard of a situation like this. In fact, he drives me to and from the airport frequently and is usually 45 minutes to an hour early!
I would recommend contacting Nick 3 weeks ahead of time to make your reservation. As with most travel arrangements, it is a good idea to confirm the reservations 24 - 48 hours ahead of time.

Just make sure you call NIck the day before you get to NC to remind him. He forgot to pick us up and we had to wait over an hour for him to get there not to mention we got in at 12:47am and didn't make it to the hotel until 230am because he forgot.

You have to have a CC to reserve your room. But, you will pay upon check out for all items charged to your room plus the actual hotel room. I reserved with my Visa, but then realized that they were assositate with American Express. So we took the express check out bill down stairs and changed it to pay with our American Express so that I got extra honor points. Dr. B's patient really do get that extra treatment. Just a tip..tell the front desk to clean your room while you are at Pre-op and then while you are at Surgery so that your not interrupted when you return. Good Luck, Christie

Hi, I don't remember how far in advance I contacted him but I think it was around 2 weeks or so. When you talk with Nick, he will ask you all the itineary questions. I was concerened that I would miss him at the airport so when I arrived I called him on the cell phone when are plane was taxing and told him what I was wearing and he met us at the bottom of the escalator. He worked out just fine. The Sheraton offers a shuttle and that worked perfect considering I had not a clue as where to go.
Good question about the room. Dr. B wants you to book the hotel in advance, don't remember the time frame...sorry! They will ask you what your room number is though. I remember giving the credit card number over the phone when I booked it. I don't believe they charge the room until you check out just in case their are other room charges. I did pay cash for the room upon leaving. If you are unsure about anything else regarding the room, call them...they are very helpful!

Can someone tell me how far in advance you need to call The Limo Driver to arrange for transportation? We are not scheduled until June 6th. Do we tell him when he gets us from the airport when our return flight will be, or do we set that all up right away? Does anyone know also if when you book the Sheraton if they will hold the room with a credit card or if they charge it right away? Will they hold it and allow you to pay cash when you get there? Can you schedule a later checking in time? Thanks Annie
