Kimmizme-where in Maine are you from? I am also in Maine- Warren, Maine. It's midcoast near Camden and Rockland. I am having TR on Tuesday Jan. 9th. I'm having it done at my local hospital because my insurance will pay 100% of the cost if done in-network.

Hi Kimmytizme How are you now that you have had your TR? Are you still recovering? I'm only nervous about the anesthesia really. Can I ask how your kids feel about you having a baby. I have a DS 17, DD 15, DSD 22, DSS 21, DSS 16. Only my DS and DD live with us though....and they are thrilled with the idea? Unsure how the others will be. I'm going to my appointment with my sister in law because my husband is still deployed. I wonder if I will be the only one there without a husband...ha ha. Well keep me posted on your progress. Did you have the FSH test done? I will have mine soon, just waiting. It's so nice to know that others women my age are going through the same things. Sandyy

Hello from Maine! I just had my TR 12/26/06 (I was 4th in line that day for those of you who were also there.)
I am a 38 yr old mother of 3 from previous marriage, g22, g19 and b17. My husband is 39 and has never had children of his own. We went through 2 IVF cycles unsuccessfully and ran out of money and then I found this forum and Dr. Berger! If I had known TR was available at such a reasonable price, I'd have not gone through IVF at all.
Anyway, it's nice to read about other women in similar circumstances. I look forward to chatting with you all!

Hi Ladies This is my first posting. I will have my TR on 1/22/07. I'm 39.5 yo and a little nervous about the procedure, recovery time, my age, and being alone. My husband has been deployed for a year and we have 4 months to go before he comes home. Due to my age and our separation I feel we are a little behind the curve. We have 5 kids (ranging 22 to 15 yo)but none of our own and truly want children together. So having a TR now will hopefully make this dream possible for us. Any advice and words of support would be so so appreciated. From reading all the postings you are all amazing and wonderfully strong women. Sandy

Stephanie, Are you keeping track of when you O? or checking your temp? I know with the holidays stress and all could also play a factor in making you late too. I think the best way to know would be a blood test, if you are wanted to know forsure. Wishing you a BFP!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I am sort of nervous and excited all at the same time. I don't do well with needles and had a lot of pure unadulterated pain after my litigation. Mind you I delivered the last three of our children naturally with no pain meds at all and took very little after the deliveries even. But the ligation about did me in. How is the pain roughly in comparsion to the actual ligation?
