Cutiebabiesbyr... I had my TR on 8/23. Everything went well! Dr Berger is wonderful and his nurses are Great! He understands what we are talking about PTLS! So many women have the same symptoms as us. I will let you know how I am feeling over the next couple of months. Im glad to hear your thyroid is ok. My is in normal range now and I hope it stays that way! Hang in there cutiebabie I know this is our answer!

Lynn, yep...everything came back normal with my thyroid, I wish it didn't maybe I could get some answers as to what's going on, but I know for sure it's the TL that's doing this to me.

Oh, yeah... I think the biggest change after TR, though I'm pretty sure this was psychological, was that our libidos picked up BIG TIME! It happened to both me and my DH. THAT in itself is something to look forward to!

Cutiebabies... I have 14 more day till TR. Did you schedule yet? It has been 15 months since I had the TL. I have suffered almost everyday! I am so relieved to hear from all the ladies who have had relief! They really give us hope. Did you happen to have your thyroid checked? I know the TL messed mine up. Hope to see you in the waiting room soon! Take care, Lynn

I had my TR is Sept 'O6 and there are still some strange things that I have noticed that's different. One thing I noticed this summer is discoloration of the skin on my face, especially my T-zone. In previous summers, I had to really put sun block on my upper lip and chin to keep from having a splochy sun tan, making me look like I had a five o'clock shadow of sorts. I don't have it this year, and I've not been using sunblock like I should, since it doesn't seem so necessary.
Some of the symptoms got better in the months after TR, but there are so many I didn't notice until later. Strange things, like my hair becoming different (had to change my shampoo-- it went back to pre-TL). Hair changes on my body (where it had become darker, I thought due to age, it's now lighter and softer). Cycle changes, especially PMS-- I cried at the littlest things before.
My mood is the biggest change, though. I had a kind of blue mood all the time, and I just thought it was depression or life changes, but after TR, it slowly got better. I handle things better than I did. Anxiety even lessened to some degree and I have no clue why.

Rhonda, Thank you so much, I just have to keep that in mind with doing my TR, I guess I'm an impatient person when it comes to stuff like this LOL

Dear cutiebabiesbyr, Everyone is a little different in recovery from the tubal reversal surgery and the improvement of their PTLS symptoms. We do see a significant improvement in about 90% of the patients. I know that others will chime in and tell of their stories. Letm e know if you have any questions. Rhonda

Mine went away gradually. Its been two months and I noticed that I am not as moody and during AF cramps were not as bad as prior to TR. DH expected them to be gone immediately but it didnt happen that way. I would just take it one day at a time. Good Luck

All of mine went right away as fast as they came after TL. THe slowest thing was my hair growing back but it did and now it is normal!! Christie
