It seems to hold true that any time we do anything unnatural to our bodies it chances who we are. The sad thing is it normally harms us instead of helping. The same goes for the foods we eat and the medicine's we take.Really proves the point the God know what he was doing when he made us. I know my body has not been the same after my TL. I am so very much looking forward to the TR. I hope to get one in March of 2008.

Hi Gwen, that is the first I have heard of that, I admit I have not done much reading on vasectomies. Thanks for the info, and I will be sure to look into it more closely if we decide to go that route.

Brandi, men suffer from sterilization issues too. If you go to the www.onemoresoul.com it breaks done what men go through. My brother almost died from his vasectomy. It took him 3 months to recover, and 2 more surgeries.

I was wondering about this procedure I have seen. I work for a group of Radiologists and I have been seeing Hystersalpingograms being done because women are having procedures done that are some kind of implant in the fallopian tubes. Its called Essure procedure. Do you think that PTLS would be caused by this also or just by a TL? Maybe have your SIL look into this since she is looking for sterilization. Wendy
I hope you all follow your instinct on this one and get the Tr done. I had my TL done after my fourth child in 2000- I had PTLS SO bad Dr.'s couldn't find reason for any of it... OF course TL had nothing to do with it!!! (lairs)
I had my TR in March 2007 and even though I haven't be able to get PG YET - I feel so much better. I feel each month I am getting better and better. most of my PTLS symptoms are gone or not as bad... I think TL are a horrible thing and they should be more researched even by the Dr.'s that preform them!!!! Dr. Berger was AWESOME!!!!! I wouldn't not go any where else!!! He does this four times a day and is always up to date with the newest information and tech, ways..
Surgery was a breeze and way better then the TL and recovery I was off the pain meds the second day after an 8 hour car ride home!!!!
You won't find a better more understanding, patient loving doctor than Dr. Berger and his Staff. They made you feel like family - like they really cared and not just another patient!

Hi Ladies, I had my TL in 04 after the birth of my second child and it was about the biggest mistake of my life. My body has not been normal since. My Dr says that its just stress. I have not had a cycle in 7 months. At first they were every 3 months or so and no none at all. I have gained weight like crazy and I think Im losing my mind. I want a TR but I need to come up with the money first and my best friend is trying to talk me out of it because she says it will be a waste of money.....Happy New Year Everyone!

I know what you mean, I'm actually giving up on warning women, everytime I mention it to someone they look at me and tell me they're never heard of it, I tell them to look it up too, but just get a REALLY funny face given to me. So I guess these doctors are winning with what they're doing to women everyday, and lying to them right to their faces.

My sister in law is having a baby on Aug 29th and she's planning to have a TL. I told her about PTLS and how I was affected by TL. I even told my brother and he said he wasn't going to let her have TL, but a few months later she was talking about TL again, and I told her to atleast research it, and she said she didn't want to read anything that would change her mind..she was just going to do it. I'm not going to say another thing about it to her.
I know if I'm lucky enough to have a baby after TR, I will not go back to TL, MY DH will get fixed. I think it's only fair, since I will carry and give birth to our child. I wish I'd felt this way 12 years ago with my ex. I get so mad when I think about how I gave birth to 3 children and then had myself steralized while he walks around with all his parts still intact. Never again!!

I can't believe this, one of my girlfriends is thinking of getting tubal ligations done, this is the worst thing anyone could ever do to themselves. Not only did I warn her of this and she knows what I'm going through, she I guess is beleiving her doctor over me becuase her doctor told her there is no such thing as PTLS (he's full of it ) I'm starting to wonder how and why their getting away with this, this is just sick When who will they stop this!?!?!?!
And to think everyone thinks I'm insane and still doesn't believe me, I wonder why, of course they'll believe a doctor over me. I think until this is blown out of the water then no one will ever believe me, EVER.
