caroljean776, I'm right there with you on the names we have left in our family. Eek! Because I always think what will that name look like or sound like on a business card or job application. LOL I've changed family names around a bit to make it more suitable. Like my grandmother was Delaine and I changed that to Delaney.
We've simply used up all the names we really liked considering how many kiddos we have already.

I like to stick with family names also. All of my boys middle names are men on their dad's side of the family. But I have always like longer names with a short nickname that is easier for yelling! But now new hubby and I'm not fond of many names on his side. I have no idea about a girl....I don't think we will go with his grandmother's name...Beulah. I just can't look at a baby and call her that. His mom's name is Glenda (not real fond of that) and my late mom's name was Wilma......so I think we are starting from scratch for girls names!LOL
I had names picked out for a very long time. As soon as I started planning the TR, I started planning everything for a baby too.
Our son, due in Nov, will be Isaac Samuel Dean. He has the middle names of his Great Grandfathers and his Grandfather. Our choice for a girl was Lily Catherine Ann, with the middle names being middle names of Grandmothers.
I love older names, and names with a special meaning. My mother's given name is Zeffie, after her Grandmother Zepheniah...that's a little too old and unusual for me.

We have picked some too..even though I won't be going until April 09 for my TR..Paeton Elizabeth for a girl and Tucker (can't decide a middle name yet) for a boy....

We have several names in the running, also. Still, we seem to come back to Victoria "Tori" or Elisabeth for a girl. Our boy names that I like are Brock, Noah, Andrew "Drew", Corbin and a few others. DH isn't thrilled about any of the boy names. It's pretty presumptuous for me to even be thinking of names considering I've not had the TR yet. I tend to go with Biblical names to some degree due to their meaning ... not just any Biblical name. The meaning has to be something very fitting for that time in our life or a family name.
So far we have: Travis Eli, Jared William, Katelyn Marie, Delaney Morgan, Liliana Grace, Seth Michael, Alyssa Holly, Elijah Matthew-Liam

I totally have names picked out and my husband has even helped a bit, isn't that something?
Boys - Elijiah Michael, Noah Steven, Gavin Arik? (the middle name on this one is still in the air)
Girls - Faith Ann, Hope Allison? (again, up in the air), Grace Serenity
Not that I am expecting to be blessed with the Brady Bunch but what happens if I ended up with 3 girls and only 2 names? o.o - I am a bit OCD with needing to be prepared for things. That and it is fun to come up with pretty names.

staylor...my boys names are Wesley (Wes), Zachary (Zach), Lucas (Luke) and Jacob (Jake)...all have a biblical background. Although I did like Zachariah instead of Zachary, but former hubby didn't. I also like Elijah. My current DH (John) comes from a family that had many old biblical names, in fact he was supposed to be named Adonijah Jedidiah, but at last minute they went with John Howard.???? I actually like Adonijah which is pronounce ado-niyah and is a hebrew name meaning "my lord is yaweh" and was the name of one of King David's sons. Other Hebrew old testament names I like are Isaac, Ezra, Ezekial, Jonah and Malachi for boys.

My cousin used Zaporrah ann for her girl not sure how it is spelled though. I have only heard of it being used one other time. I thought it was cool she said it was from the bible.

ha-ha! My dh and I were on the sofa watching TV last night tossing around names. I'll admit much of it was just having fun and seeing if we could spell anything with the initials.
This is premature because we are still waiting to hear back about the faxed Op Note. Hoping the hospital medical records sent it on when I requested last week. If all goes as planned, it will be late 2009 before we start considering a date, at least. Shhh! I need the college kids bedroom for a new addition. teehee
For all of our little ones, we always called them by name and prayed for them by name long before they were in our life and arms.
Last night we seemed to both agree on Elizabeth. Can you tell dh wants another girl?! Like we'd have a choice in the matter. Not!
We like Noah and Samuel for a boy. We shall see. I'm the one that changes my mind about names at the last minute at times. LOL
Does anyone have a neat, not popular, Biblical names in storage they'd like to share? We've about used up all the family names we like. Seems we agree on the more usual popular ones though.
