Juliewoo I had my tr on aug 4 and let me tell you I have a "0" tolerance for pain and I actually was very comfortable no pain at all just sore and a little tender but nothing unbearable I took my meds as prescribed and I did terrific. My tr was on a Monday and we left CH on tuesday it was a 3 hour ride home never had to stop I was comfortable I slept most of the way home then we were home by lunch time then we left the same day we got home from CH around 5 or so and headed to the beach which was a 5 hour drive, we had our boys with us they are 2 & 3 and my neice who is 3 and we stopped 1 time for me to get out and walk around I did great. The only thing that was uncomfortable for me was in the mornings when I would go to get up it was really sore I guess from laying straight and sleeping but I was fine I just keep the meds in me like clockwork every 4 hours and I got to enjoy a vacation. We came home from the beach on Friday and I was back to work on Monday my office is on the 2nd floor and I had no trouble getting up the stairs we have no elevator. I work at a desk and I was fine just moved a little slower but other that it was a total piece of cake. GL to you and I am sure you will do fine. Dont stress, I know that is easier said than done you will be in great hands.

Hi i've scheduled my TR for September with Dr Berger. I'm worried about pain after op as i've a low pain threshold and have to travel back to the UK afterwards. Will i need to pick up a prescription from my GP before i travel or will CH centre give me some on discharge. I'm not good with taking pills either!
I'm due back at work the following week (i haven't told anyone) so i hope to be mobile quickly. Any advice?
