Hello rubi, Patients often ask about having a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) to see if their fallopian tubes are open after tubal reversal surgery.

Dr. Berger addresses this subject on several pages on this site including:

Rubi, aside from following Martha's advise, if your tubes are open, just continue to ttc. You can also use an OPK to determine the best time for you to ttc.

Rubi,
In order to be certain about whether an HSG demonstrates tubal patency, tubal occlusion, or is inconclusive, please instruct the radiologist to send the x-ray films to Dr Berger to interpret. Having documented the anatomy and measurements of the fallopian tube segments during tubal reversal surgery, he can compare the x-ray findings with each patient’s operative report. This allows him to give the most accurate interpretation of HSG results.
If we can be of further help please let us know.
Martha S.

I have noticed that when a lot of ladies do the HSG is when the get their BFP...like is clears the tubes out or something. Not really sure what to do afterwards though.

Good luck,
