Thank you Ann. Your words are an inspiration to myself and I'm sure to all the rest of us that are saving. It is wonderful to hear from someone that has been in our position and through determination and perseverance has achieved what we all are dreaming of.
On a personal note, my family celebrated Thanksgiving this past weekend and we all had a wonderful time. Now we have Christmas to look forward to, then a February birthday to plan, and then we should be close to TR surgery time.
I hope everyone else is having a wonderful holiday.

Hi I am doing good just got over a stomach bug. Life has been crazy. Right now we are focused on getting passed Christmas. We have our Disney trip paid for and just saving for spending money while there. My kids still don't know that we are going and its taken everything in me to not tell them. How is everyone else doing? How is the savings going? We still shooting for July. DH is already picking out baby names. I never thought the day would come where he was as excited as I. I guess men have a different way of showing their feelings. I was beginning to wonder if he was as into this as me but the other night he said we have to have a little girl because I have the name picked out. Savanna Skye is what he picked, how cute.

Hi Pam, Thank you so much for the link. That is a lot better than the numbers Martha gave me in our e-mails early this week. 63% is the range that I fall in! That is excellent! I can't wait to share this information with my husband. It makes me want it to be March that much sooner! That is when I can take vacation to make the trip to Chapel Hill. That is a better statistic than I had hoped for. Thank you for the encouragement, Rachel

Rachel, I am so glad to hear that you are saving for your tubal reversal. I thought you would enjoy Dr Monteith's recent blog on Fimbriectomy and Tubal Reversal. Not only is this blog full of excellent information, but I think you will find the encouragement you are looking for! I hope to hear very soon that you have decided to schedule your surgery. Best wishes!

Did anyone else that is saving for TR have a fimbriectomy? I understand that it is a fairly uncommon method. Does anyone know of someone else that had that type of tubal and has been sucessful in conceiving? I know my chances are very low (around 30%) if the surgery goes well. I just thought it would be encouraging if anyone knew of another's sucess.

I am also saving for TR. We went through IVF 3 years ago when we were told that my fimbriectomy could not be reversed by anyone. That ended badly and was terribly expensive. Now we are saving to have a reversal hopefully this coming spring. We have about 1/3 of it, but I wanted Dr. Berger to review my post op and pathology before we got too excited. We got the good news yesterday that Dr. Berger will try, with no guarantees. That is good enough for me. I have 4 children ages 9, 11, 10 and 14 all from a previous marriage. I will be 32 by the time we have TR. I am just keeping my fingers crossed and adding to the baby fund every week.
