Hi I was 41 when I had my TR in Oct. 06 and I did it because my new DH wanted to have kids as he had none at age 51. I did get PG on the first time we tried 2/07,We have a beautiful little boy 11 months old. And we are going to try again after the new year. I did not have any PTLS. Ageless Mom - I had my TR in June strictly for PTLS. Wow..you have lots of kids! I am 43 and my kids are 3, 5, & 8. I had my TL b/c my hubby really wanted it and we were not planning to have more kids. I never anticipated the 3 years of chronic symptoms, misery and hell we both went through. It was what felt like an endless journey..that, thankfully, did end with my TR in June. By 8 weeks post-TR I was a new person and all my symptoms were gone. There are quite a few women on the board who are in their upper 30's to low 40's who have had the TR to have more babies or for PTLS..Good Luck. You will have tons of support and a wealth of information here when you need it.

Hi, 39(turn 40 next year), Considering having TR done sometime next year. My previous children are: 16-16-17-18-20-20-21. After having my twins I was advised to TL but always felt I was talked into by my doctor and family members. I've also have been reading articles on PTLS and wow was amaze on how so many women suffer same things like me. I have always consider to having my tubes untied and was wondering if there was women my age with older children who have considered or had their tubes untied.
