We are looking forward to meeting Dr. Monteith! Anesthesia called me just yesterday and did my screening questions. Such a boring but necessary conversation-lol do you...no do you...no have you ever...no! I felt like I should be saying something other than just no to everything she had to ask me!lol

I had Dr. Monteith and he is a gifted and fantastic doctor. I do NOT regret having him do my TR at all. His stats are growing. You would be lucky to have him do your TR.

Hi! I'm new to this message board. I've been wanting to do the TR for months. My birthday is in September and I will be 39. So, I want to have the TR before that. (makes me feel younger, lol) But here is my dilemma, Dr. Berger is not available the 1st 3 weeks in August and my schedule doesn\'t really allow for other times. I would like to know about Dr. Montheith's stats. Anyone have a TR or know any info on him I would appreciate the information. I'm sure his credintials are outstanding or he wouldn't be at CHTR with Dr. Berger. It would just ease my mind and schedule the TR.

I had my TR 6/29, and although I am still healing and I wonder each day what that new feeling is...I never wonder if I picked the right place. You may doubt before, but you get there and feel an overwhelming sense of trust, comfort, support and confirmation that you chose the right place. From A to Z, CH is awesome! The doctors at CHTRC are the only ones that I know of in the country who do it Full-Time. Some other doctors do one from time to time. These are the ones who can reverse 98% of the tubes no matter how they are Ligated, most other doctors only do it if the clips were used. They have the statistics to backup what results they have acheived. You are able to recover at the hotel and relax and you don't have to stay in a hospital and bugged by nurses every few hours through the night in a hospital. The doctors at CHTRC are incredible!!! I would pick them not matter what. They also have discounted fees of $5900 for Dr. Berger and $5400 for Dr. Monteith. They are worth every penny. God Bless!!! Heather

It's like my doctor said, "You don't go to a buffet for a good steak, you go to a steakhouse." I don't want to go to a "buffet" surgery center that does anything other than TR, if I want the very best TR mds...
I guess I have really already made up my mind...just needed to hear it from someone else...

On the fence...TR here (CA) is $7800 while TR @ CHTRC is $6500 (flight/hotel/car). I know that would seem like a no-brainer, but I am trying to decide if CH is worth the flight/babysitter/everything else. Someone help me decide me if it is worth the extra stress to come to CHTRC!! DH says that it is whatever I want...
OH, and just bc we originally picked CH, I have lost 17lbs. I almost feel like I owe it to myself to go with our original plan (CHTRC)!
