Thank everyone! I was getting discouraged-it seems like it is always something that is popping up it's ugly head! We have been praying about getting the money together and God has answered that...I guess this just gives us something else to pray about! I did cut way back and actually lost 4.5 pounds just by walking more and eating less!
It sounds silly, but when I am walking and dieting all I can think is that I will be SOOOO happy to see my tummy get bigger (if you know what I mean!)
Thank you, I mean it!

Hi Cheadlemom,

BMI is a very difficult topic and I am glad that you brought it up. We have a very strict guideline for BMI. It has to be 34.9 or lower. We do not make any exceptions to this policy. We will require updates of your BMI status every few weeks to confirm that you are moving toward the BMI limit, if you are not moving in this direction we would request that you reschedule. The last thing we ever want is for someone to come here and then be cancelled because of their BMI. The BMI limit is in place from a safety standpoint. Also to note that many of us, myself included, are shorter than we were in high school! Please measure your height to confirm what your target weight needs to be.

Cheadlemom

What AmberRose mention is a scary thought ''According to my calculation my BMI is now at 34 and if the scale is off by 4 pounds that will put me at 34.9 [Eek!] that is a scary though. And I am schedule for the 29th of this month....I think I need to work out a little harder.

Cheadlemom, I feel your concern I was also on the borderline and a couple times went a bit over, my tr was 4/27/09 and in the few weeks before I told DH to hold of on any take out and junk food (which is hard cuz he loves it and my 14 yr old too) but they survived lol and I started to eat grapes tons of them Aldi food store has a good price on them, they are a mild laxative so as it went in it came out lol I still had my coffee and had a solid meal ones a day (I had no choice but to be strict I also could not aford to be sent back home) I just made sure it was a light meal but the rest of the day it was grapes and it help me loose about 5 pound in 2 weeks were I was just a bit above my borderline. You can do it, we will be here to help you. [Wink]

Best advice is to buckle down and work to get those extra pounds off because they will send you home. Good luck!!

They will not do the surgery if you are over the BMI limit. They will send you home I would imagine and reschedule because there is no exception as I understand. You may want to work extra hard to loose a few extra pounds if you can too because I weighed 4 pounds more on CH's scale than I did at home the day before.. GL.
