purplelisa12 Sweats are ok but I'd make them shorts. It is very warm down here now. You wouldn't want to get overheated. I brought tennis shoes. There is a McDonalds right next to the Sheraton so they should have apple juice if you need it. We walked to Food Lion although it was a decent walk it wasn't bad and was nice to get the exercise. I brought pjs that don't look much like pjs for the trip home. HTH

We suggest you wear something comfortable and loose fitting the day of surgery. You might also want to bring some warm socks to wear while in surgery and the recovery room. You are only allowed to consume clear liquids after surgery until you pass gas. The Sheraton has a complimentary shuttle that will take you to the grocery store. It runs up until 10:00 pm. There is a Food Lion within a mile of the hotel so you can pick up whatever you feel you need when you arrive at the hotel. Martha

Hey Lisa. I used to work at the airport and you cannot carry on any liquids more than 3 ounces but you can put them inside your checked bag and its ok. I am planning on wearing some kind of pajamas so we can be silly together. Cant wait to be there. Best wishes and may God bless every1, Vivian

I can answer the drinks on the plane one because my father is a pilot. After Sept. 11 they will not allow any liquids on the plane opened or not. As far as what to wear I have not had my TR yet either, next week the 20th. I am with you though, I cannot go around in public in pjs. I am taking a tshirt and some pants that I made. I put a belly band in them so they are nice and loose and don't have seems across the belly. I would say try sweat pants, just remember that you are probably going to swollen from air, etc. after surgery so you will want to make sure that they are loose. I am probably going to wear my tennis shoes. Good luck.

just wondering what you who have already had surgery have worn in for surgery as far as clothes/shoes.I've heard some say pajamas, but I think I would be embarrassed to wear pj's... Also if any of you used Janice? the transporter, was it easy to find her at the airport and did you pay her with cash or?? also, about the clear liquids afterwards..you can't bring drinks on the plane and we are getting in around 7:30 the night before surgery so won't really have alot of "shopping" time. I'll want to get some rest. any advice would be great.
