lol..... Back to business, How are the nerves as we count down to our final week before TR ladies? How, or what are the two of you doing to help cope with the anxiety? S for me, I just started moving to our new house today so I hardly have time to think about it. Don't get me wrong though, the second I stop moving its ALL that is on my mind.

Ladies, I hate to barge in on your thread but just wanted to give you a heads up. The moderator will delete your thread if they see you talking about anything unrelated to TR. Most of the time it's closed or deleted without warning so wanted to let you know so you don't lose your thread.

Skiing colorado is a dream of mine, soo one day I hope to follow that dream! I introduced camping tpo my Dh abt 3 yrs ago. He loves it. We both do! We are hoping to buy a pop up camper next year! Have you ever been white water rafting? I've been twice loved it! Trying to get dh to go!

Beverly, I am ashamed to say that as a Colorado native I do not Ski. My parents were never into it so I never went as a kid, and now I don't know, it has never occurred to me. Now that you mention it though it would probably make for a very fun family vacation. I do however take advantage of the mountains, I love to camp, fish and hike. This will be my first time going down south, but my DH spent a lot of time through out the south, as his dad was in the army and was based all over. You will have to come to Colorado someday. talk to you soon

I didn't know we had to pack DH a lunch. Nice to know though. Mine will probably wait till he gets back to hotel and order something from hotel. I cant believe how fast the last few days have gone. Connie, I just moved from augusta Ga last year. We are trying to fix up the house to sell in september. we want to go back to GA. Neva, Since you live in Colorado do you ski? I love to ski. I got my oldest daughter into abt 3 years ago. My son skied a few times from abt 4 to 6 then he wanted to try snow boarding so now he wont go back! LOL Its something i ca do with them every year and they look forward to our ski trips. I always wanted to ski Colorado. of course i think anyone who loves to ski has dreams of that. I use to water ski to in my younger years haven't been on water skis for probably 9yrs. just thought i would share!

We probably will all be shuttled over together. I emailed today and asked for specifics and was told then about the van/bus. Yeah, I read the whole thread Sunday, it gave me chill bumps how much we have in common. I bet your nephew is amazing! I bet he is truly a joy to be around. Give him a big ole hug for me! That is really cool about your DS's career choice. I think he will find it rewarding. There are different areas of Special Ed he can specialize in. If he has any questions, tell him to feel free to email me. diane.blum@sgc.edu. I would be honored to help him along his path. He may even enjoy being a child psychologist. There is such a demand for those! I am really enjoying my Abnormal Psych classes. Right now we are focusing on Autism, pretty neat stuff! I will be through with the book by then, if you think he would want it, I will bring it with me.

Connie, I will check my email to see if I got the same message, but I was under the impression that we would all be shuttled over to CHTRC in the same van at the same time lol. I guess that is when I started looking for the other women having their TR on the same day because we are literally going on the same adventure.
I too think it is very cool that we are all in college and about to graduate. Have you had the chance to read this entire thread yet? We have a lot in common. I have nephew, he is 7 and has down syndrome. He is so awesome, and he has inspired my DS 15 to go into your field of work.

Beverly and Neva: Hey, I learned today that since my surgery is on Monday that I will have to take the shuttle bus to CHTRC. They said to pack DH a lunch since he won't be able to leave until I am done. Did you both get the same message about the bus and packing a lunch? Just curious. I think it is pretty cool, not having to drive and all.

I have to say I am a little bias when it comes t brew pubs lol, I have worked at one for the past four year, the time that it opened under a new name and owner. www.shamrockbrewing.com
I am glad I found you two also. I think it is really cool that we are all in college. We really are all going through the same thing. If I can just make it through finals next week! LOL I will be coming from Fitzgerald, GA and I think it will take us about 8 or 9 hours but to be honest I am not sure. DH is handling that. My sense of direction is horrible. I bet your yard does look nice, you can come and do mine next. We just bought this house almost two years ago and I have to admit I haven't done a thing with the yard. I keep telling myself when school is over I will be able to...yeah right! That is really cool your mom worked with children with behavioral disorders. It is hard to consider myself a special person when I love what I do so much. It doesn't feel like work really. Often times I find that these kids are just misunderstood. I think your mom would agree. Getting to the underlying cause of the behavior problems is the trick. They really are amazing little creatures!
Neva:
That place sounds great! I should be in around 3 or 4, depending on how many times we get lost and how often I have to beg DH to stop and ask directions. LOL I don't drink either but I am quite sure DH will need a nice cold beer at that point. I will probably have him half crazy after that long in the car with me. Poor guy. LOL I have been so emotional lately he doesn't know whether he is coming or going. It is really cool of you to head this up, Thanks!
