I can tell you that I had my tubes burned and 2-3 cm removed from each side. After my TR I now have R-3.0 and L-2.5. Just get your report from the TL and send it to CHTRC so it can be looked over. They will let you know. Miranda

I don't know the answer to that one. One of the doctors could better answer that one. You can e-mail the doctors directly if you want to. Their email addresses are listed under one of the side topics, but I don't remember which one. God Bless!!! Heather

Hello my tubes are also burnt in two place. One close to the side where my uterus is and the other next to my ovaries. Does anyone know if the tube in between the burns can be saved or would it all be useless in a TR. I'm now remarried and my husband and I are desperate for another baby. Could a TR work or am I just dreaming? Any help will be greatly appreciated

I would imagine the complications (such as blockage) could still occur regardless of wear the reconnection site is. Plus you now have the uterus involved instead of just the tube.

Thank you for the response. Here is another question: If my tube does get blocked or closed will it make my PTLS come back? I sure hope not, because I feel great and don't want to go back to the severe PTLS. Heather

The information regarding pregnancy rates after tubo-uterine implantation is based both on historical observation and on our pregnancy statistics at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center.
An implantation is a much more involved surgical procedure (many doctors who do not have extensive experience with tubal repair surgery will not even attempt this for their patients)and, as such, there is a higher chance of surgical scarring resulting in tubal closure.

I had my TR on May 20 with Dr. Montieth. I have my left tube at 4.5cm and was repaired as normal, and the right tube is 6cm and implanted. Dr. M said that when he went in there he barely found any scar tissue from 3 c-sections so that was great. I am only 29 years old. My question is: Why are my chances of getting pregnant off of my side that is implanted so low? I would think that it would be good not to have an inscision in the middle of the tube, and it would be perfectly clear. Is it because of the statistics that you have are of maybe older women and shorter implanted tube? I am just confused as to how it makes such a difference. Any insight would be helpful. I just ovulated off of my right side tonight and am really wanting to get pregnant this month. Thanks for all the help. The great news is that the PTLS is gone. Praise God!!! Thank you for giving me my life back and giving me back to my family. Heather
