I had a lot of scar tissue after my first c-section, and then an unsuccesul VBAC with my second baby ended up with a uterine tear and blood transfusion. I refused a tubal ligation then. I was only twenty years old. I went on to have my third baby (when I was 28 years old), who was the biggest at 8 pounds 6 ounces, they took her a week early by scheduled c-section. But my scar tissue was minimal and the Dr. said my uterus looked good. I still did the TL anyway. Now, post TR(if God so allows) this will be my 4th c-section. I will not have a VBAC due to my previous circumstances. I know everyone is different. I think with 3 c-sections it would be wise just to be close to a hospital at the least, but I encouraging that because I had such an ordeal with trying for a VBAC myself. It's not me that would have suffered as much, but my son, if we had not been in a quick acting hospital setting. I realize my circumstances are rare and In the end, I know you will chose what is right for you and your baby.
There was some scar tissue from my previous c-sections and Dr. B did some lysis of adhesions when he went in and did my TR which, in my case, I am thankful for.
My TR scar fits right along in there with my other three c-section scars. Dr. B did a good job stitching me up.

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to yoohoo, Happy Birthday to you!
B-day blessings to you!
In answer to your question about scar tissue, NO. I am so stoked about my scar. I had a c-section scar that was thick and ugly, but Dr.M sewed me up so great that all there is is a line! I am VERY grateful for that.

My children will be 4,6,and 8! Did you have much scar tissue when they done your TR? I am worried about that.
Also has anyone who had previous c-sections before TL and had a TR and successfully concieved had a VBAC? I am wanting to do a VBA3C if i can find a midwife close to me that will allow me. Also it depends on if the pregnancy would be healthy and all if i were blessed again.
I had my surgery on 6/4/09. I have three children and 3 c-sections. My youngest will be 9 years old next month, I had my tubes tied at at that time. I am 35 years old. My DH will be 44 at the end of the month.

Hello i have been lurking this board for quite some time now and just started posting the other day. I am 25 tomorrow and DH is 29 we have 3 beautiful children together. We regret the choice we made in 2005 getting the TL. Now we are looking to have a TR some time the beginning of 2010. I had the Pomeroy TL with cautery and not much removed from either side. I did have all 3 of my children via c-section.
We are hoping to add to our wonderful family in God's timing. We are planning to let nature take it's course and not temp, opk, chart or anything. So if it's ment to be it will be. I am also wanting the TR to hopefully rid my symptoms of PTLS. I am very happy with my DH and kids. But another blessing and or blessings would very well be welcomed by all of us. But that's all up to the Man above.
Wishing all of you on this journey which ever part you may be in tons of patient and baby dust. I know the journey for some has been longer than others but know all the TR sisters are here for your support threw thick and thin.
