I have not had my TR yet [Frown] But from what I read on this message board and the staff I have spoke with at CH. If any one can do it,CH is the place. I am going to make the travel from California,37 hour drive. There is a place within a 1 1/2 of me but I want the best. So far I think I found it. Good luck with your journey and sorry for your loss.

Hello everyone... I am so disappointed and sad. I went to Walter Reed Army Medical Center on 07/09 to have a TR. The doctor told me that there wasn't enough length left to do the TR.My tubes were clipped and burned. They were cut in 3 different places. In 1998 after having a still born baby @ 34 weeks. The doctor that did my tubaligation lied to me.She said that I could have them reversed if I ever wanted too. I didn't know anything about the tubaligation procedure that was done on me. All I could do was cry. Can Dr.Berger help me? I hope so...I may have to do IVF. I don't want to do that.

TY everyone for the kind words. Miranda

Thank You all SOOO much for your responses!!! Im just really concerned there is not enough tube left or that there is to much scar tissue. I will be getting my records from my TL ( it was done in April of 2002) tomorrow and getting those faxed right over to CHTRC so I guess my Hubby and I will just wait to hear back from the nurses there. Thanks Again Everyone, Tammye

Dr. Berger and Dr. Monteith have a 98% success rate of repairing tubes, including cases where the tubes have been cut, tied and burned. I hope this is helps.

Hi my name is Miranda. I too had this done.My OB removed 2-3cm of each tube. I am younger but I was worried about the what ifs. I was able to put in all in Gods hands and was left with R-3.0 and L-2.5 . I had doctor Berger do mine. If you have your report from the TL send it in so the doctors can look it over. This gives them a good idea.

Micko & TulipGarden I am pleased to tell you hang in there. It may take longer than you thought but it was worth it. I keep Faith and Hope and after over a year God gave us a BFP. I am 3 weeks along. Miranda

I had the same feeling as you do now. Although, I felt prepared for the worst. I took it one step at a time. The first step was sending in my Op and Path report. I expected a big fat no with that, then the money seemed impossible, etc. You see where I am going right? One step at a time until I heard the big no. Then it came down to surgery and I was trying to be positive but I didnt have much hope for a lot of tube but was just hoping for SOMETHING. While my tubes were cut, tied, and burned and the TL doctor didnt leave much to be fixed...Dr. B was still able to repair my tubes. 2cm on each side. Some people are upset with short tubes and I try to look at it like the glass if half full rather than half empty. I have more of a chance to get PG than I did before the TR.I was relieved to find out that I had SOMETHING to work wth. I am also 35 years old and will be 36 Dec. 1st.

Take it one step at a time, if it's Gods will, there will be way.

Lots of luck to you on your journey,
Cindy

hi i also had those same feelings. I had my tr june 2, i awoke to find out that one of my tubes were not repairable. but that is because i have had other abdominal surgeries and lots of scar tissue. Relax you are in the best hands, CHTRC staff are the best, Dr.M did my surgery he is awesome he answered all of my questions and even after i came home i emailed him because it was certain things i wanted to know that i could not remember after surgery. and he emailed me back. If God makes a way for you to have this surgery he is not going to leave you disappointed! think positive even though its hard this is my 2nd cycle ttc. I thought for sure we would be preggo by now, but i guess its all in God's timing

I too had my tubes tied, cut, and burned.I am 35 (36 later this year) and am currently saving hoping to have my TR in October or November however, I am very concerned about investing all the money and time coming up there and possibily leaving w/o being able to have the TR. I know there is the option of having them checked just prior to surgery but aside from trying to save the extra $1,000 that will be soooo heartbreaking waking up and finding out that my dreams of having another baby (my first with my wonderful husband) may be gone. I am super confused at this point and hope that anyone else that had this procedure done after being tied, cut, and burned will PLEASE share their stories with me.
