Hello, My husband and I are planning on a May 2010 TR. We are not sure on who we would like to do the surgery. I feel we should have Dr.M cuz he's cheaper and of course, we are not made of money so therefore, the cheaper the better for us! I was just wanting to know if anyone has an answer for me, Why is Dr.M cheaper than Dr.B? I'm not saying anything bad I was just wondering is all. Pleeease, don't be upset about the questions ladies. Im new and just trying to figure everything out. Im sure they are both well experienced just wanted your opinions on who you think I should have and why? Thank you !!!

That is very interesting. I wonder why Dr.B won't perform under those circumstance? I chose Dr.M for a few reasons; cost, the desire to give him more experience, and I really felt led to have him do my TR.
Dr.M has a wonderful personality, shows great compassion/understanding/&care, isn't arrogant or proud, has a great bedside manner, and I am very grateful that he left me with a "beautiful" scar. Yes, I say beautiful because my c-section scarring was lumpy and ugly. Now I have a simple little line, no lumps, smooth. I had 2 c-sections and 1 emergency surgery through that same incision (ovarian cyst burst when I was 2 wk PG [unknowingly] and was bleeding internally. abdominal cavity was filled and they had to go in to drain and repair. Dr. saved my life and the life of my last child. Unfortunately he also performed my TL. )
Huge Kudos to Dr. M. He did my TR on 6/29/09. I second all of the awesome comments made already.
Another small and important note to add...as I noted, he did my TR end of June. Well on 4th of July weekend I called in to the on-call nurse (Martha) to ask about the bloating and the incision. (I was concerned that the bloating would effect my incision healing because it was a 5 month preggo tummy!) Dr. M called and said that everything was normal and to not worry. It meant alot to me because I thought "it's the holiday weekend and he's probably not thinking of post-care and patients on the weekend". Well, I was wrong...he cares - even after. It meant so much to know that and have that special touch to seal the idea and confirmation that I HAD PICKED GOOD!

Dr. Montieth was awesome he performed my surgery on 02/05/09. The whole staff is wonderful. Only a month after surgery I found out that I was PG. At 6 wks it ended up being ectopic. A month and a 1/2 later was PG again but it ended up being a blighted ovum but at least it inplanted in the uterous which is great news. I am a rare case in itself I only have 2-r and 1-L. If it wasn't for DR.Monteith I wouldn't have even had a chance of getting PG. I would do it all over again in a minute. Thanks Dr. M you are wonderful Thanks be to GOD for giving Dr. M the hands and knowledge to preform such services.

Tammye, I had Dr M perform my surgery on 5/11/09. We just found out last week that I am pregnant. As for personality, he seems to be a pretty neat guy. Very friendly, personable, funny, pretty laid back, and obviously highly skilled. I know .. sounds like a resume or dating application, but so so true.
My DF is not a big fan of having to go to the doctor, but I think if he had tubes, he would have let Dr M operate.
Dr M preformed my surgery on 7/2/09...my husband and I were so impressed by his bedside manner, sense of humor and thoughtfulness! He is tops in our book! I believe whomever preforms your surgery you will be treated with the utmost respect and caring!

I also saw Dr. M on 5/4/09. He is a great dr. Easy to talk to, easy to ask questions, etc I have no regrets using him over Dr.B. You will be in good hands! I got my BFP in June and am now 11 weeks. I know that this is not common and I am lucky, but my point is, he does good work!

Hi Tammye.....Dr. Monteith performed my TR on 2/17/09 after having a TL in 2003. He is such a great person! I was skeptical at first as he hadn't been performing the surgery as long as Dr. Berger but am SO SO SO happy to have had him give me the miracle to conceive again! I became pregnant less than one month after having my TR. I am currently 22weeks 6days preggo with a lil boy and everything looks great. Thank Dr. M for the gift of life!
