Hello everyone. I had my reversal done on 5/08/09. I have been having lots of pain on my right side, hot flashes, and so on. I had a trans vaginal ultrasound done last Friday and my right ovary is Cm bigger than my left. My Dr said to leave it alone too, and he is going to order another US in a few months..to check on it. Please let me know if you guys find anything else about it too. I just want to feel normal again. Best Luck

I had the same problem with ovulation pain that lasted til the start of my menses. Had ultrasound and dr found cyst on my right ovary. I was put on bcp to try and get rid of it. I go for a second ultrasound next week to see if it went away.

mamaink, you'd have to go see your doctor to be sure. Cysts can be very painful. But your pain could also be related to your recent surgery. It's a case where you might have to rule out some things to get an idea of what might be causing the pain. I hope it goes away soon.

Anita, thanks for ur reply...I think I understand the difference between the two cysts ur describing...but would both of them cause the steady pain from ovulation till mensus??? And I dont undrstand why it goes away when mensus starts...I have an appointment with my doc but not until next week...In the past I had what they called a "water cyst" and it either ruptured or went away on its own, but I was not trying to conceive at that time, and I believe that was causing pain all the time, not just during O time...

When you ovulate, the follicle that the egg comes out of becomes a corpous luteum cyst. It's function is to produce the progesterone to support pregnancy until the placenta takes over that task. These cysts are not the kind that cause problems getting pregnant, but instead serve a purpose. If you have a "functioning cyst", which would be confirmed by U/S and bloodwork, it produces estrogen, which prevents you getting pregnant, and you would need to be given BCPs to help it go away quicker. If a functioning cyst is allowed to go untreated, it can take many cycles before it goes away or ruptures, and that means not getting the sought after BFP.

They left mine so it could go away on its on. I found the cyst on July 14th, got a BFP July 22 and MC on July 29-09. It all happen back to back. I had the bleeding from the MC, which was cycle 1 after it all than now I am on cycle 2. I am on CD-17 today. And this Oing is not hurting like the last 2. The OB said that many ladies get the cyst when they first get a BFP. I wish you all the best. You can go to your doctor and they can do an U/S and see if it is a cyst. It is that easy. Miranda

I had the same thing, the last two cycle, but this one is different. I thought I was pregnant at one time because of the cramping. I have always had AF cramping, but never Pre-ovulation & ovulation cramping. I would do as the ladies suggest, and get checked out. Women heal at different speed and it could be your body trying to heal, but then again, it could be something else. As I said, This cycle has been pretty uneventful, but the last two were uncomfortable. I had my TR July 21st. Keep us posted.

Sorry not too many people have responded. I had this happen a few months ago and it did turn out to be a cyst. You should probably have your doctor check it out. Most of them go away on their own after a couple cycles, but sometimes they are a different kind of cyst and can interfere with ttc.

Thanks Miranda for ur reply...seems like I dont get many responses up here everytime I post...so i definately appreciate it.. If u dont mind, what did they do for treatment for your cyst? Or did they just leave it? Ive heard that its common and they can come and go...

I had this but after seeing my doctor I found out that I had a cyst on my right ovary. They did an U/S to find it. I wonder if this is what is going on with you. If you would like to you may want to see your doctor. I wish you all the best. Miranda

Please help...
I had TR on 5-5-09 by Dr M...I"d always had pain during ovulation before my surgery, but the past 3 months, I have had pain from the time I ovulate until I start mensus... It doesnt let up at all until I finally start...then seems to go away, until my next ovulation...
Have any of u had this problem??
Maybe a nurse can answer???
Is this still just part of healing or should I see my doctor??
Thanks...
