Hi all...My name is Kim (KIM8811) and I also want share that I had my surgery this past Friday...Oct. 2nd and I am doing great! I can't say enough about Dr. Berger and the staff...they are awesome! The facility was very clean and neat....every person that we met at CHTRC was pleasant and had all their ducks in a row! We never felt rushed...they always asked us over and over agin if we had any questions and our answer was always the same...no....because they covered everything!I highly recommend this facility to anyone. My recovery has been wonderful...very minimal pain and discomfort! I have been very surprised. It was well worth our 10 hour drivedown there and 10 hours back home!I had 4cm on one tube and 6cm on the other. I hope that is good...not real sure . I was nervous when I got there but the atmospere puts you at ease quickly!

Okay, I was just trying to figure out a way to tell you ALL thanks for answering... I have never had an experience like this where so many people support me!
I had to look up "BFP" to see what that meant, hehehe, that's so funny! I don't know all this lingo yet.
I will be checking back to see how you all are. doing!

You can start a new topic and place their id or name in the subject space. Then type what you want to say. But there is no way to send a personal one that only they can see. I wish you all the best as you heal. Miranda

I was not fully "with it" yet when Dr. Berger came to talk to us after the surgery, but I think he said that I had 4 cm. on each side, and that was average? I am just praying for complete healing, with no scarring or blockage!

I had my TR on Monday with Dr. Monteith and flew home Tues. afternoon. I returned to work Friday and today but am taking it easy. My experience at Chapel Hill was amazing. The staff and Dr. M were the best. It was the best decision for my husband, Chris and I. We are so thankful to have found CHTR.

Sarah, I am happy to hear that your experience with us was so satisfactory! It is what we want for all of our patients. I can certainly empathize with your nervousness, and I am glad we were able to provide you with the peace you needed. Take care of yourself, you deserve it!

Thanks Sarah, I have 22 days to go (as my husband reminded me of this morning-so happy he's excited about this). We fly from NH on the 26th, go to the pre-op on the 27th, the surgery is on the 28th, and we'll fly home on the 30th. My parents are taking care of our boys. We are a little nervous but can hardly wait!
