Christina...you truly couldn't find a better place! I had my TR done in February 09 and was pregnant the following month. I'm currently 35 weeks! The doctors and staff at CHTRC are wonderful. I was very nervous and skeptical at first as I found them simply searching for places that performed reversals. It is well worth the $ and hospitality that you get from them all. Best of luck and welcome.

Hi my name is von,i kind of understand how u feel with saying when u wre young an didnt understand what u wre doing when u got your tubes tide.I also were a single mom too when i got my TL.No i havent got my TR yet.but 4 1/2months i probly can anwer you qustion.(But how wre your tubes tide?)
I completely understand where you're coming from and what you mean by experience the joy of pregnancy rather than feeling like everyone is judging you.
I also understand how hard it is to make the decision of which doctor to choose. Call them with a list of questions. That's what I did, and because CH did more TRs and was better able to answer my questions, I chose them.
As for the D&C, I would consider that an invasive procedure with no real benefit. The amount of tube you have left won't really tell you how much you will have in the end because they have to see how much is damaged. I think I'd bypass this as an unnecessary procedure.
The length of time it takes to become pregnant after TR vares from person to person. It could be right away, or it could be a year or so. I hope your journey is quick and you get to share the joy of a new baby with your DH and sons.

My name is Christina, my husband is Christopher, we live in Morristown, Indiana. We're still looking into things to have my tubes reversed. I had them tied, cut and burnt in July of 05 when I was 23 years old, I'm 27 now, hubby is 25.
We desperately want another baby because even though my husband loves our two boys as his own and he legally adopted them so they are his, he doesn't have any that are biologically his and I want to experience the joy of pregnancy rather than the burden. I want to be excited to tell people I'm pregnant, not dread telling them I'm pregnant by the same idiot again. Don't get me wrong, I love my two boys more than anything in the world, but they didn't come into this world under ideal circumstances if you know what I mean....
Besides all that, my boys are now 10 and 4; they're not babies anymore I love children and want tons of them, but I was 8 months pregnant, miserable and a young, single mom scared out of her mind when I made the decision to get tied in the first place! I wish my dr. would have told me about Mirena or of the other long term bc options out there rather than just letting me sign the paper and get tied two weeks later without thinking or talking about it first!
With all the surgeons out there it's hard to narrow it down and just pick one. Every website has it's postings of "happy customers", but this is the only one I've found so far with a message board that actually lets you speak with the people who've done this procedure (one up for Dr. Berger lol). It's just my health and a lot of money to gamble on a surgeon who may not know what they're doing; you can't believe everything you read online so how do you really know unless you talk to the people who've been there?
We have the money, now it's just picking a surgeon and scheduling the appointment. How soon did everyone get pregnant after their surgeries? Is there anyone out there around my age that had the same type of tubal ligation I had that can share their experience with reversal with me? I'm having a d&c next week, aside from the actual reason for the procedure, my gyno says this will allow him to measure the amount of tube I have left with certainty and will also act basically like a tune up on my uterus. He says it will "clean up" the uterine walls for better chances of implantation.... anyone know anything about this or is he a quack and completely off his rocker???
