I had my surgery on 6/4. One of the reasons I chose to do the HSG sooner was because we have met our deductible for the year. Insurance pays for dianostic tests for infertility. We pay 15% and on my charge slip it says they charged $550.oo for the HSG which was cheaper than I had anticipated. I got the EOB for the initial consult, which insurance paid for all but the $20 copay. But that would have been another $257.00 we had to pay out of pocket. It's not cheap, but check to make sure that your insurance doesnt pay for some of it. I was surprised to see that ours did once I looked into it. BUT since you did get one BFP that is promising. Hang in there and best of luck to you!

Thanks for all the encouraging words you guys, I really needed them. I am just going to wait and see what comes about. I have a doctors appointment for next week, but I just relocated so it's a new doctor. I'll feel them in our my history and go from there. They are supposed to give e the referral for the HSG we have tricare so we'll see what happens. I'll keep you guys posted. I may just talk to the doc and see what he reccomends and go from there. I did hear that it could take up to one year and or more for a positive BFP. I guess with all the trying and hype we want what we want when we want it, and GOD has a different plan for us all. Thanks Congratulations to those that have a BFP and baby dust to all that are TTC.

That seems high. Did any of you call your local hospital and ask there? Here it is a little over 300 to get a HSG at the local hospital if you claim no insurance. I had looked into getting one. But before we got the money I got a bfp so I know I did not need one then something was open some where. I wish you all the best. Miranda

I had tr April 2008, I finally got bfp 4-1-09 but m/c 4/21, then another bfp on 8/9/09 m/c 8/13
However i did go ahead and did hsg on 10-13-09, now i am waiting on testing. It may not happen this month but its fun while trying.
I think we all get impatient on getting our sticky bean. Dont get discouraged. Keep your head up.
Good Luck and Lots of Baby Dust to ALL.

My cost was 500.00 out of pocket for my HSG -

They suggest an HSG 6 month to a 1 year- But you have already had 1 BFP- It takes a normal couple a year to get pg -
I did mine at 6 months but I hadn't had a BFP and another 4 after that - 10 months before I got my sticky BFP...

If I were you I would wait a few more months and keep trying... Then at 9 months maybe do one if you haven't had any more BFP'S

Good Luck and Bbay dust to you both!

Lots of ♥

Prices vary, depending on who does it and where it's done. Some doctors order it and it's done at the hospital by a radiologist. Some doctors do it themselves. You will have charges for the person who does it and the place it is done. I paid $600+. Some pay more, some less. You may be able to get a reduced price if you pay in cash up front. You will have to check.

I just called one place and it was $905.00 plus $190 for the consult. Here's to another bill on top of the 6 grand we already paid.

I have my surgery 5/12/2009, I had a BFP in June which ended in a miscarriage. My cycle was off wack for a while coming in like 30 some odd days. I think I'm getting a little impatient:) not sure if I should have HSG test done or if there are certain reasns to have that test. My last cycle was 10/05 I O'd on the 19 according to the calendars. I should receive AF on 11/02. Of course I tested already and got BFN. I am getting discouraged and just needed someone to talk to. What other options are available? Someone please advise thank you as I am going crazy.
