I was told that my tubes were burnt and could not be reversed. I contacted Dr. B office last month and got positive feed back. So I had my TR on yesterday and is so excited about being able to have another child. Be encouraged and know that God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can can think or ask.

I too had TR after bipolar cauterization and it was successful. I was left with 3.75/3.0 lengths. And mine was a little out of the ordinary instead of my TL doc burning in 3 places like usually done he burned me in 4. So it can be done think positive!

Buick06-
I had the triple burn plus clips when I had my TL. Dr. Berger was able to repair my tubes and I was left with lengths of 5.5 and 6.5. I am expecting my first TR baby, due in Nov. Good luck.

Dr. Berger is able to repair the tubes in 98% of cases, even those where the tubes have been burned! So there is definitely reason to be optimistic.

Thank You!! You ladies give me hope. I just happened to be reading the posts - I too have had my tubes burned and i'm really not sure how much of it is left. I'd venture to say not much. My TL was back in '92 - wow! so needless to say I'm no spring chicken. LOL. It is very refreshing to hear some of your experiences. It really give me hope! I just want to say Thank You! I sincerely Thank You! Hopefully, I can get the procedure done by the end of the year - I had hoped it would be sooner but we all know how that goes :-) and once that's done I'll feel as if I've done all that I could to try and have another baby. I'd absolutely love it and feel truly blessed. Thanks for letting me express myself. :-)

Hi, My name is Rachel and I had a TL done 10 yrs ago after my last daughter. I suffer from migraines, bad cramps and many more symptoms. I would like to have a TR. But I'm not sure if what was done could be reversed. Each tube was grasped and visualized down to the fimbriated end and distal salpingectomy performed. Mesosalpinx and tubal ends were tied #0 Vicryl suture and the tubal ends treated with electrocautery as well. Removed 3.0 cm from left tube and 3.5 cm from right tube. With this type of TL can it be reversed?

I am greatful for everyone responding to me so quickly! I just had my TL done in 10-2007 and I now feel that i made a terrible mistake. I am 29 years old with two sons age 12 and 7. My soon to be husband badly wants a baby (I do to ) but, I am scared that i wont be able to get it done. I just ordered my operative report from my doctor, and i will send it the hospital as soon as I get so I can put these feeling to rest. Thanks again for everyone support and please keep me informed of any new stories!

Hi--
I had 3 burns on each tube and ended up with lengths 2.5 and 4.0.
I have been pregnant 4 times since TR but have miscarried all 4. My miscarriages had nothing to do with the TR. I have found out through testing that I have a blood clotting disorder that causes miscarriages.

Good luck to you-

My TL was bi-polar cauterization with 2 falope rings put on one side. I had TR 7/23/07 when I was 37, with 3 cm left on each side. I have been PG twice and hoping 3x a charm! OH and Im now 38.

Send Dr B your OR from your TL and he'll tell ya if you are candidate for it. See what he says before you totally exclude yourself.

Hi buick I have not had a TR yet but I am scheduled for 8/4/08 and I had a bipolar cauterization so mine were burned and Dr. Berger said I was an excellent candidate surgery for the surgery. I have also seen in the pregnancy reports where ladies have had the bipolar cauterization and have gotten pregnant.

Buick06--Dr. Berger has sucessfully repaired the fallopian tubes of many women who have had the same type of tubal ligation method that you have had. Check out the Pregnancy Statistics for more information about tubal ligation by coagulation method (burning). I hope this helps.
