Brenda, I am with you on that all I remember from that time is being told I need to sign this form there are some risk but they won't effect you.....when asked what the risk were I was told the were so small it was not worth even discussing....I moved out of that state a few years ago and when I tried to find the doctor who performed my TL I found he moved back to Nigera....go figure I would love to have mine reversed if it would help me feel better but cost is an issue for us. Tammy, I hear you. I think most doctors are ignorant about the risks and don't want to listen to anything different. I think they feel they are "saving" women by doing the TLs and if they learned different, that would crush their egos. Hopefully things will change as more and more people are educated about this.

Tammy, I'm not a doctor or anything, but in my opinion it's a good possibility that some if not all of your symptoms are because of your TL. You are describing what so many of us are also going through. As for "just getting older", I don't know how old you are, but I'm 36 and I have problems that I shouldn't have already. I had someone recently tell me that I shouldn't bother trying to get a reversal, because I'm not that far away from menopause anyway. At 36! I don't think so! I'm not interested in having more children at this point, but I want to have a reversal in hopes that my symptoms will go away. Just read some of the posts on this subject, and you will see that most women are relieved almost immediately after their TR.

I had never heard of such a thing until I became fed up with doctors not being able to tell me what was wrong with me. Then I found this site while searching my symptoms. I had a tubal ligation in 03/97 it was my 5th child with a very bad marriage and I had tried so many birth control methods that failed I had been pregant 8 times resulting in 5 children. I knew something was wrong as soon as I came home from hospital with my son I was so depressed and cried all the time, they kept telling me it was post pardom depression but i did not have it with my other 4. I was told I was lacking vit C and it would pass. Well things only got worse I became very depressed and anxious all the time my periods I noticed increased in length and becam more painful. I started getting a migrane 4 or 5 days before I was do to start my period with aching breast and cramps I had never had before they would start in my pelvic area and run down my legs and into my back....this was before my period even started. My bleeding was much heavier and all I wanted to do was sleep then I would get sick to my stomach. I was told sometimes your periods change after a baby but I had had 4 children prior and nothing like this had ever happened to me. As time went on other things started to happen around the time I think of ovulation I would get some light bleeding and cramps again just told I was getting older no known cause. Then about 5 years ago I was taken to the hospital for rapid heart beat and heart palputations they admitted me but never could find out why. I still have them to this day and no one can tell me why or whats wrong. Well it has been 11 years now and each year gets worse I am divorced and married to wonderful new man we had talked about another baby but with all of my health issues we had thought it might not be a good idea, but after reading some of these stories I wonder if they are from my tubal and what I could do to fix this not just for the idea of another baby but to get my life back!!!
