I was tied cut and burned [Eek!] Not only did Dr Berger repair my tubes but also repaired a hernia that would have caused me some pain when I got my BFP....He did all that and did not charge me a PENNY MORE!!! Not only that but I got my BFP only 6 weeks after my surgery and had my frist TR baby 9 months and 2 weeks after my TR...my little madelynn is now 4 months old and we are TTC again [Smile] you have come to the right place I promise you...You could not find a more experienced doctor and staff than you will find at CHTRC!!!!

I am glad that it gave you hope. I have read other messages with great success having much shorter lengths so im sure you will be fine. All of the things i were nervous about prior to surgery turned out to be fine. I pray everything goes well for you and im sure it will.

I had my TR 4/23. My TL was bipolar, burned three times. My tubes are 2.5 and 3. I know they are short, but I still think positve for being given the chance to even conceive.

I was nervous as well before my TR b/c my tubes had been burned. I had my surgery 04/14/08 and mine were also burned in three places. Surprisingly my lengths afterwards were 7 on one side and 8 on the other. Dr.Berger said everything looked great. So it is very possible to have a successful surgery after having your tubes burned.

I had triple burn plus clips and still had a successful reversal! My lengths are 5.5 and 6.5 and I am expecting now!
Good luck.

Dear FoxRaceGirl:

At Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center, there are no hidden costs for tubal reversal surgery. Couples who choose Dr. Berger as their tubal reversal doctor are offered an all-inclusive cost or fee for the tubal reversal procedure. The standard fee of $6900 is due three weeks prior to the surgery date. When a patient pays in full at the time she schedules her appointment, she receives a discounted fee that is a $1000 reduction from the standard fee. Both the standard and discounted fees are all-inclusive and cover: preoperative record review and consultation, Dr. Berger's surgical fee, anesthesiologist's and nurse anesthetist's fees, surgical supplies, operating facility fees, postoperative pain medication, and follow-up care.

We hope to meet you in the near future!

Becky... I had the same TL you did and my lengths are EXACTLY what yours are.... The only difference is that I had my TR on 1-17-08...no BFP YET... BUT I am 7DPO and feeling funny...I actually spotted yesterday...Possible Implantation spotting, we'll see...

Congratulations and thank you for the Hope...

I also had bipolar coagulation. Had my TR 1/3/06, with 3.5 on lt and 5 on rt. I got my BFP 10/18/06 and had my first TR baby 7/5/07. She's now almost 10 months old and wonderful!! I didn't pay any extra and they got back to me the same day I faxed my op report!! Good luck!

foxracergirl97,
I don't believe there are any hidden costs. And yes, you can fax your op report to Dr. Berger and he will let you know what he thinks for free. I sent mine and got a response within 2 days.

No hidden costs, the fee is the fee....you pay before surgery/when you schedule and you're good.. Fax your Operative Report from your TL, and your pathology report if you have it, to Dr B...once he reviews it they will contact you and let you know if TR can be done http://www.tubal-reversal.net/tubal_reversal_fax.htm if TR can be done...then you can make arrangements for payment and scheduling etc...

You can call and also talk to the nurses, they can answer any question you might have. Everyone is sooo very nice.

Nope not true!! I had mine cut and burnt. I had my T/R 7/24/07 still have 4.0 left on both l/r tubes. Had a BFP 10/25 ended in m/c (I believe unrelated to TR, I have a hard to control thyroid disorder). CH is amazing and don't let anyone tell you this is not possible!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

Danelle
